CHAPTER NINE
KELVIN HAD no idea how to comfort Treasure. The trip to what used to be her home was even more hurtful than he had prepared for. His heart broke into many pieces as he watched Treasure cry silently into his shoulders, as he listened to her muffled sobs against his shirt, as he held her quavering body while she wept sore throughout the journey back to Lagos. Yet, he could not find the right words to tell her. He could not form any reassuring speeches in his head to himself let alone to Treasure. All he could do was tighten his grip around her, his hands trembling in grief so much he could not move them to pat her.
