Chapter 39
Daniel wake Dontrell and Madison as the sun already started rising. The area was quiet. Daniel peeked on the window and the people were already not there. He saw them went inside the houses. Occupying all sixteen houses aside from theirs.
“Hey, it is already morning,” he said as he kept scanning the area.
“Nothing happened last night, right? Why do you still look so paranoid?” Dontrell asked as he rubbed his eyes.
Madison looked at Dontrell while she was tying her hair. “Being paranoid would not hurt you. Just let him be.”
Daniel could not help but furrowed his eyes but he kept silent.
“Do you think they will send Liam back?” Madison questioned.
Dontrell shrugged his shoulders. “I do not know. The people here are really unexpected. You could not know what to expect.”
