Eden wondered how long it would be before Cristian lost that glassy look in his eyes. For someone who should have long been conditioned to throw off a dope haze with ease, he was taking his time tonight. And all the while, Bill stood guard with watchful, beady eyes. It was almost as if he knew that Eden would be trying something rash.  Had Cristian shared some concerns while she hadn’t been looking? Maybe that meant Bill had to be disposed of, too. Hm. Eden discreetly checked to make sure her Glock was within reach, glancing down at the table where it lay on its side. Cristian was the important one, though.
