Clyde then followed Elmer into a training ground behind Elmer’s place. Clyde this time uses the other sword that he brought other than the holy sword Caliburn and at once, his battle form is presented in front of Elmer’s eye.

The sword that is being enveloped by Clyde's skill is glowing as if it gained an extra sharpness and size due to the lights emanating from it. Clyde then demonstrated his attack by slashing down on a dummy target which is accompanied by a little burning sound. The wooden dummy target was cleanly cut in two half and where the attack is hit, a residue of a burning wound can be seen.

Elmer who is watching the spectacle is now approaching Clyde and is holding a sword. He didn’t want to have a spar with Clyde, he only signaled for Clyde to try to attack the sword and with a clean-cut, it was split into two equal parts. The moment that Clyde's sword comes into contact with the sword that Elmer is holding, Elmer’s sword immediately melted upon contact.

Elmer was signaling for Clyde that it was enough and with a deep breath, Clyde’s sword returned to normal.

“It seemed that the ability that you’ve awakened to is some kind of enhancement spell. Its nature is of the fire element, seeing at how easily it melts the sword and causing burnt wound upon contact, you must have a high affinity for fire. Have you practiced a mana technique before?”

Clyde is confused because what Elmer is saying is out of his knowledge.

“I’m sorry sir, I don’t understand what you are asking. I just able to do this ever since I pulled the holy sword.”

Elmer only smiled hearing Clyde’s explanation as Clyde is definitely one of those blessed people. Elmer has trained so hard every day for three years in his life before he could use mana and another seven years just so he could fight freely with it. Looking at Clyde’s demonstration just now, it was almost similar to the result of five to six years of his training. Although the quantity of the mana is low, Clyde’s control and how he handles it with ease make Elmer envious. As expected from someone who could pull the holy sword, if he is even less amazing than this, Elmer won’t even let him meet with the king.

As for clothes, that will need to wait until Lance decided what kind of setting, he want to have.

Thinking of Clyde’s point that could make princess Alisa fall for him, it should be a fiery and passionate person with a high sense of justice. Due to this, Lance decided to dress like he was from a swordsman family. He approaches a clothes shop and with a blink of an eye, suitable clothes have been acquired in his hand. Next, he goes to a weapon shop, and in a similar fashion, he acquired a sword.

Lance walked into an alley and seconds later, he shows up entirely different. The sign of malnutrition has been gone due to his blood that has been nourished with mana but his face is still pale. When they say clothes make the man, it might seem true as Lance now looked like an honorable swordsman from a reputable family.

Now, Lance is confirming Alicia’s location again before heading straight there. Alicia is now currently inside the church in the capital and it is located at the west of the city. It is located quite far from the center of the city since there’s not a lot of people that visited the church and there’s an orphanage that is connected to the church.

Aside from her good looks and smart brain, princess Alicia is also known for her kind heart. The reason why she is in the church is to make a donation and after that, she will move towards the orphanage. If Lance isn’t misremembering things, it was almost similar to what happened in the previous life.

Some thief is trying to rob the money that princess Alicia is donating to the church and at that critical moment, Clyde who by chance passed by the area saves her. Of course, there’re a lot of unclear points about it. Firstly, Clyde is walking out of his way to be here in the orphanage without a clear reason. Secondly, before Clyde arrive at the capital, this kind of thing never happened before. If Lance wants, he could point out a lot more points that are out of place but it wasn’t his purpose for today.

As he wanted to recreate the same scene, Lance will need someone to play the bad guy. He makes a quick stop into the slums of the city and controlled two people to act as the bad guy. He dressed them up according to their part and sends them ahead of the time to the church.

Lance’s ability to control others is based on a blood-related spell. He could control someone’s blood and control their body through it. As for their emotions or thinking, the vampire is a race that is proficient in illusion techniques as well. It was an easy thing; the two people won’t even realize that their body is being controlled.

As for princess Alicia’s guard, she doesn’t have a lot of them, to begin with. Not to mention that she has almost zero combat ability. Lance has read her information before and knows that she yearned for battle but his father never allowed her to pick up swordsmanship or any other martial arts.
