In a hidden modern world where werewolf packs live among humans under fragile treaties, Aria Nightwind, the twenty-two-year-old heir to the Crescent Moon Pack, is destined to succeed her parents as Luna. Born into legacy and loyalty, she’s spent her life preparing to lead — strong, compassionate, and fiercely devoted to her people.

But on the night of her Luna Ceremony, fate turns cruel. Under the sacred moonlight, Aria’s wolf senses her fated mate — and it’s Kael Draven, the feared Alpha King of the rival Shadowfang Pack. The enemy her father has despised for decades. The man responsible for bloodshed along their borders.

Bound by a mate bond neither can reject, Aria and Kael are forced into an impossible connection that threatens to unravel everything they’ve ever known.

TheMoon'sChosen
Aria's POV The night was still — almost reverent — as if the very earth held its breath. The moon hung high above the valley, vast and luminous, its silver light washing over the gathered wolves of the SilverMoon Pack. The air shimmered with power, thick enough to taste. And at the heart of it all, I stood — trembling, but unbroken. My name is Aria Nightwind, daughter of Alpha Damon and Luna Sara. At twenty-two, I was finally standing where I had been preparing to stand all my life — beneath the Moonstone Arch, ready to be crowned as Luna. The gown my mother had chosen for me floated like spilled starlight. White silk, threaded with faint veins of silver, hugged my frame before cascading to the ground. The fabric caught the moon’s glow, as if I were draped in light itself. Tiny crystals glimmered along the bodice, each one symbolizing a generation of Lunas before me. My hair — long, dark, and softly curled — had been woven with strands of moonvine, the sacred flower of our pack. Its faint scent mixed with the crisp mountain air. My reflection in the mirror had startled me earlier — pale skin kissed by moonlight, storm-grey eyes bright with both nerves and strength. I looked like my mother, but the fire in my gaze was my father’s. When the elders began their chant, I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply. The rhythm of their voices rose and fell like waves, ancient words calling to the spirits of our ancestors. My wolf stirred inside me, her presence fierce and steady. "Are you ready, Aria?" she whispered, her tone thrumming through my chest. "I was born ready," I told her, though my voice trembled. The energy of the ritual swelled. The forest seemed to breathe with us — trees shivering, stars brightening. And then… a scent drifted through the air. Rich. Smoky. A touch of rain and cedar. It hit me like a storm, sharp and wild. My lungs seized. My wolf froze — then howled. Mate. The word echoed in my mind, fierce and undeniable. My pulse stuttered. No. Not now. Not tonight. My eyes snapped open — and that’s when I saw him. Standing at the edge of the clearing, half-shadowed by the trees, was Kael Draven, the Alpha King of the Shadowfang Pack. The moonlight carved sharp lines across his face — all predatory grace and cold beauty. He was tall, easily a head above everyone else, his shoulders broad beneath a black ceremonial coat lined with dark fur. Silver embroidery traced across the fabric, catching the faint light like claws. His hair, black as midnight, fell to his jawline, slightly tousled as if he’d just stepped out of battle. But it was his eyes that held me captive — silver, like liquid steel, burning through the distance between us. The crowd parted slowly, whispers rippling like wind through grass. Every instinct in my body screamed enemy, but my heart pounded to a rhythm older than war. Our gazes locked, and for one terrible, perfect heartbeat, the world vanished. The air between us vibrated — the mate bond flaring to life, violent and undeniable. Kael’s nostrils flared; his expression hardened, but his jaw clenched as though he were fighting the same invisible pull that tore at me. The faintest growl rumbled from his chest — low, warning, conflicted. It can’t be, I breathed silently. But my wolf whimpered in answer, It is. The chanting faltered. The moonlight dimmed for a heartbeat, as if even the goddess hesitated. My father took a step forward, confusion tightening his features. My mother’s smile faded into stillness. Kael’s lips parted slightly, his voice rough and deep, meant only for me though the distance between us was wide. “Mine.” The single word shattered something inside me — a truth I wanted to deny, yet could no longer escape. The moon goddess had chosen… and she had chosen wrong.
