A Hybrid

Changing back wasn't also easy and I had shed tears as Talon guided me through and so did Liya but the change back was still as painful and it left me quite exhausted.

After changing back Ashton had wrapped me up in the Queen's shoal that she had gifted me, I could barely move as he got me on top of Talon's back before we trudged back to the castle. After which they both took me to my room as Ash got a bath ready for me and later left me at it.

It took a while but after I was done I managed to get dressed and walk back into my room while trying not to groan at how exhausted I felt and some parts still ached, like my jaw.

The change had really been painful and exhaustive, I could guarantee that because I just wanted to crawl somewhere and close my eyes and let my body shutdown for a while.

I walked back to my room where I found dad waiting. I walked into his arms and he hugged me back.

"You did well. The haze will wear off after a while of rest after which you'll need to feed. I know you dont like feeding but Blair I'm gonna need you to do so as soon as you rest." He said while he still held me and I didn't want to move, my body ached and I suddenly felt like being babied.

[I understand. But I don't like the blood from the blood bank.] I whined in his head as my jaw hurt still and I didn't want to move it anymore and Dad chuckled.

"For this time you'll not be taking that one, you need that of a strong hybrid in order to get Liya well lined. She's weak right now and so are you. Any blood won't satisfy you right now. You need one from a strong hybrid." He went on and I groaned at that thought. And I immediately regretted that from the jolt that went straight from my jaw straight to my toes.

[But it's only you and Ashton.] I questioned. Wondering how that would go. The only reason I never really liked feeding was whenever I did manage to do so my meal always tended to get aroused. And it was very uncomfortable so I always resulted to not feeding directly and preferred feeding off the blood bank. And that happened like once in a while, the pros of being a hybrid one of a wolf and a vampire, more so the wolf was more dominant. It meant I could go on for a while without the blood but my food intake went high.

"I dont mind you using me and Ash doesn't either so you'll have to choose the one you're more comfortable with." He said and I sighed already knowing Ash would have to be my go to. I don't want to think of a possibility where I'd be feeding from my father and get to feel his arousal. That was too uncomfortable and I'd never be able to face him ever. Even if with Ashton it'd be uncomfortable but one way or the other we would find our grounds. And we'd probably end up with us teasing each other.

[I'll go with Ashton.] I said and he chuckled at that.

"I thought so. Well I still wouldn't mind though if you changed..."

[Dad.. Please, the only reason I still don't crawl to somewhere when I see you is because back then I was too young to understand what arousal was and its never happening again.] I let out with a huff already feeling embarrassed for my ten year old self. And everybody of cause never forgets to tease me though about it. I groan at that knowing that's what dad was doing. I was little then. I had only started getting coached on my feeding from people. It was a requirement since my body demanded more as I grew into my teen years and my body began its changes. Initially only a half full of glass would be needed but even that it was once in a while, since I hated it.

"Okay. Now rest up Ash will be up in a few." I nodded still in his arms. I didn't want to let go and like I said I wanted to be babied. Dad chuckled getting the memo before he lifted me up in his arms and laid me on the bed. I let him go once I was laid on it before he covered me up and tucked me in and a forehead kiss followed and I smiled.

[I love you.] I whispered.

[I love you too Blair now rest up.] A moment later I could hear his footsteps and I let my eyes close before letting slumber consume me.

Opening my eyes I let them adjust to the dark room before yawning and tried to sit up. After which I stretched my arms and body a bit. God, that felt good. I thought as a pop sounded from my stretch. I felt like I had slept for days. I opened my eyes that I had closed while stretching before letting out another yawn.

{We needed that.} I heard a voice in my head and I almost shrieked until I realized it was my wolf. I finally had her. Joy bubbled inside me and I couldn't help the giggle that left my mouth which was followed by hers.

{Easy there, I'm well rested now but I'm hungry.} She let out and I sighed at that.

{Yeah, soon you'll be fed so will I. I just need to use the restroom and get my thoughts straight. My mind is still trying to catch up with my awake body.} I said making her chuckle as she nodded her head.

This felt weird in a good way. I thought to myself as I got out of the covers before walking into the bathroom to take care of my few needs after which I got out and my eyes went right to the clock on the night stand. It was four o'clock past fifteen minutes. I really had slept. About twelve hours or so. No wonder my bones didn't ache as they had been a while then I thought before walking out to find Ash. I could still smell him in my room which meant he had been there not long ago. I followed his scent to the King's office before I knocked and walked in to find the King and Ashton by the King's desk in a deep discussion.

"What happened." I questioned, if they were having a closed door meeting just the two of them and having this heavy discussion it only meant there was something wrong, either with the kingdom, could be from one of the packs or from the covens, or it could be with one of the castle members.

"We just got a report that the Red-moon pack was attacked a few hours ago and the Alpha family got eradicated." Dad supplied and I walked closer to them before studying the topographic map they had laid out and the indicated areas.

"Rogues or the hunters." I went on looking at the point of attack that had been circled.

"That's the strangest part. Dad felt the power shifts few hours before the said attack commenced, which only means the Alpha died prior the attack. And since the shift only happened once and the reports claims the Whole alpha's family got eradicated, mind you he had two sons, it could only mean the son wasn't who the power shifted to in those earlier hours." Ash supplied and I could get why now they felt the need to have this discussion.

"So a challenge or betrayal from one of their own. And a challenge that's conveniently followed up by an attack, could be coincidental." I supplied and Dad smiled.

"Something like that but we cannot march in there and start questioning everyone. We need detailed info. Investigated detailed report." Dad said and I looked at him.

"A spy, really, is it necessary why not ask one of their own what happened." I asked, I knew well what the answer was but I still went ahead and asked.

"Because, for some reason all the members seem to be narrating the turn of events in the same order but their order is just..."

"Doesn't add up with your order." I supplied.

"Yeah." Ashton replied.

"Do you have someone in mind, if not I could go." I said in a monotone as I knew what would follow and immediately my statement was out growls filled the room and I smiled.

"You did that on purpose." Ash said the obvious making dad growl.

"Yes, I know it very risky, and not that I'd need permission from you two but a hybrid in a pack of wolves would be the first thing they notice and well so it'd be fruitless."

"Glad you understand that. And before we settle the Queen's issue none of you two is allowed out of this castle." Dad growled but I knew that didn't apply to Ashton. He was a male hybrid, and besides dad he was the next strongest person, which was why they ruled. I wasn't as strong. And currently I was the only female hybrid so, yeah I knew there was no way Dad would let me out of the castle. But I always found a way.

"Okay." I sighed before my stomach growled and dads harden features softened before he gestured for me and Ashton to go ahead. Which we did quietly.

"You ready to get a boner." I teased making Ash smack my head.

"Don't freak me out more than I already am." He said and I chuckled. Wanting to make fun of him more but from his face I decided not to. He was a bit stressed with that pack I could tell of cause he would be he was the next king in line, top that with the queen. So I just linked my hand in his squeezing a bit and just let it be before we walked back to my room. Ash sat down on the bed before gesturing for me to sit on his lap.

"No, I'm not sitting on your lap so that I can get to feel your guy down there." I dug my heels where I was making him chuckle.

"Why you're the one causing it after all." I knew he was teasing me but I still got flustered.

"I'm not going to sit there." I went on.

"This is your first feed in your complete self. It may not be as painful as your first change but your wolf hasn't gotten accustomed to it so, after your fill for a while you'll be drowsy which is why I suggested my lap." He said while still gesturing his lap and I looked at him skeptically.

"Trust me this doesn't even get embarrassing like when dad told me I had to. I was so awkward then and I had refused just like you. Of cause he was teasing me but then he supplied me with another option. His vampire friend had to hold me down while I fed as I was behind him. Couldn't even stand two gulps in so he had to sit and I followed but I couldn't get my head to stay put, kept swaying. This is why I'm telling you you need to otherwise you won't even feed a thing." I could have laughed at that were it not under this circumstances.

"You won't even feel that boner you keep talking about your mind will be to hazy to comprehend anything." He went on further and I sighed before walking next to him and sat on his lap before easing myself and let my nose fall on his neck as I Nuzzled the spot I would be sinking my teeth to. I felt the rush of the blood across the vein and my canines grew just from the thought after which I sunk them not too deep just enough to get me the supply of that blood. Soon I could feel it flowing through my tongue and down onto my stomach igniting a fire along the way. The sweet kind of fire. A few mouthfuls and I could feel my body sway. After a while of trying to fight the drowsiness and the blood flowing down my throat my mind shut down and I welcomed the darkness once again.
