Writing The Magic Brush and Enchanted Paintings was the adventure of a lifetime for me, and I enjoyed every moment of it, from the moment of its inception to its completion. Ben and Maya’s fantastic journey took me back, with a nostalgic thrill, to the memories of my childhood, when I still saw the world as a wonderful, magical place where everything was possible; all you had to do was believe in it. A world in which there was no shortage of love and selflessness. Artemis, who is present in a different form in all the worlds in the novel, helped me to realise that in our own world, too, there are mentors and people who help us, either visibly or invisibly, to have faith in our ability to make our dreams come true, and encourage us to never give up.
