From somewhere just inside she heard an almost silent curse uttered, followed by the creaking of footsteps on ancient floorboards. “I am Elaineor, Lady of Knightsbridge, you did not ward, your steps are audible, and I seek your aid.” Something resembling a large sigh sounded from the other side of the wooden barricade. “Well, best you come in then, you and your army.” The voice was younger than she had expected, but sound meant nothing to those who could manipulate the very waves of energy and magic.
