Later that night Shay and Melissa arrived at Lilly’s. As he had expected, Shay knew very few of the people there. However, Lilly wasted no time in gathering a group composed mainly of the people who’d been in the play she, Shay, and Dwayne had done together. To his surprise, Shay found himself enjoying the trip down memory lane. But he was also acutely aware of Dwayne, who stood only a few feet away.
Someone in the group decided pictures were in order. After shots of the entire cast were taken, pairings of various characters were suggested: among others, Lilly and Dwayne, Lilly and Shay, and finally—Lilly, Dwayne, and Shay.
