As Shay drove back to his parents’ home after saying goodnight to Dwayne at the hotel, he was filled with a mixture of emotions. Utmost was the feeling of joy he and Dwayne had found one another again and were planning a life together. He could scarcely believe, after all these years, their love had survived and had led to this.
However, just beneath the surface was an edge of discomfort. When he’d told Dwayne he couldn’t spend the night, a shadow had crossed Dwayne’s face.
