I will never forgive you if you don't apologize to me" Mrs Juan sobbed. *****Linda's POV********* I was walking pass the doorway to my room when I heard sounds from mom's room "what's that sound". I opened the door to find my mom crying on the floor close to her bed holding a picture frame . I walked quietly and sat next to her. "Mom" I whispered and looked at the picture frame. Tears slipped down my eyes as I looked at my mom broken form. I could see how hurt she felt "mom everything will be alright" that's all that came out from my mouth. I tried to console her but the cry increased and I joined, I couldn't control myself anymore. " He left now I can't even fend for you, I lost my only surviving job" she cried more " mom it's enough I'm crying more..." "No it's not.. what kind of a mother Am i that cannot continue your education. You're in your third year now you have to drop out now, I hate my life.." and she started hitting herself. "MOM!!" what should i do " wait let me call jake my close friend he will drive us to the hospital since we both cant drive. Mrs. Juan was immediately rushed to the hospital with the help of a young man who lived opposite the mansion and happened to be Ariel's close friend. "Lin, please stay calm. Mom will be alright," Ariel reassured her, hope shining in her eyes. Linda paced anxiously across the waiting area, looking distressed. "Ariel... Mom..." Linda broke down in tears. "She'll be fine, Lin. Please," Ariel said gently as she held her shoulders and guided her to a chair opposite the operating room. A few moments later, Jake arrived carrying a bag of food. "Hey, girls, you need to eat something. It's already night," he said. He opened the bag, brought out two plates of rice and two bottles of soft drinks, and handed them over. Linda initially refused, but after much persuasion from Ariel, she reluctantly accepted the meal. Just then, the doctor emerged from the operating room. Linda immediately rose to her feet. "Doctor, how is she?" she asked anxiously. "I need to see you in my office," he replied before turning and walking away. Linda quickly followed him. _________Linda's POV_______ I sat opposite the doctor and waited for him to speak. He sighed deeply before saying, "Miss Linda, are you aware of your mother's declining health? She worries excessively, and it has taken a serious toll on her. She has Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy, commonly known as Broken Heart Syndrome." My heart skipped a beat. "What does that mean, Doctor? Is it very serious? Please help her," I pleaded, my voice trembling with fear. The thought of losing my mother terrified me. "Miss Linda, try to remain calm," he said reassuringly. "It is a stress-induced heart condition triggered by overwhelming emotional distress. What she needs most is rest and peace of mind. Help her avoid painful memories. Remove anything that reminds her of past trauma. If possible, get rid of such items entirely. That will greatly aid her recovery. For now, you may take her home. She should recover well." I nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Doctor." As I left the office, Ariel and Jake were waiting outside. "Babes, what's wrong? Is Mom okay?" Ariel asked immediately. "Yeah... kind of," I replied before explaining everything the doctor had told me. "Oh my God! We need to act quickly before her condition worsens," Ariel said, grabbing my hand. "Ariel, wait. I don't know what I would have done without your help today. I'm truly grateful." Unable to contain my gratitude, I wrapped my arms around him in a heartfelt hug. __________ Mrs juan mansion ___________ I and ariel were already at the gates taking out all of my dad's stuffs to the underground warehouse owned by my dad where all his work stuffs are kept. Ariel playfully hit my shoulder with a smirk on her lips " i could see the way you melted on jake's arms, I'm feeling you" she winked at me " do you know how annoying you are, no wonder laura is always at your neck, silly dude" i hit her head playfully. I turned to look at mrs juan staring at me with that suspicious look on her face. I immediately cleared my throat " hmm.. Ariel told me you want to work at Don Rose Restaurant. I hope you're comfortable with that because it's unlike you." "Yes, ma'am. I'm okay with it. I'll resume next week." "That's nice. Ariel walked her mother to the gate before returning. "Lin, should I spend the night here or should I go home?" Ariel asked. "I wish you could stay, baby," Linda pouted dramatically. Ariel laughed.
