34 AARON The good news? Nobody who worked in the admin department at the paper mill appeared to have thrown anything away, ever. The bad news? That left us with stack upon stack of archive boxes and cabinets filled with everything from invoices to budgets to lunch menus to résumés, and there was no discernible filing system. Oh, and did I mention the dust? We’d taken to wearing disposable masks to keep the worst of it out of our lungs, but it still got into our hair, our clothes, our pores.
