Chapter 14: Stealing a kiss

Elise's Point of View:

Those 2 weeks have been awful for me! Now because of my big mouth I could be followed by Michelangelo along with an e*ecutioner into the woods when I sneak out to see Nate and they would k*ll him right there, without a trial. 

The 2 weeks punishment was over and no one was on my tail to follow my every move, but they still could be suspicious about me being at the stables and no guard with me. I tried to keep it on the low and dressed in a black sleeveless gown, but underneath it I had pants and boots. And that's how I escaped. I took off the gown and climbed the gate in much more comfortable clothes than a gown.

I ran as fast as I could, with a couple of pauses to catch my breath, but never stopped. Nobody seemed to follow, but that's what I thought the first time too, but still that beast managed to follow me. Otherwise I have no idea how he could possibly find out about Nate. There's no way my father told the beast about another male, it would have been to risky for him. That would be a foolish thing, and besides, he doesn't know what's Nate's name, but the beast did.

When I reached our spot I saw him on the bed, looking mad and my legs decided to give up on me and, feeling like someone shut them down and I stumbled with just one step more to reach Nate. I was waiting to feel the cold grass full of the morning dew, but my impact with the coldness of the ground never came, instead I felt 2 warm arms locked on my hips and I clinged on to his blouse, ensuring that I won't fall. I thought that I heard his material ripping for a moment, but I got back on my feet and his blouse was fine.

I felt so relieved to see that he's alive and I checked his face worried to see if he has any scratch.

-" Thanks God you are alright!", I hugged him tightly, tears threatening to spill out, but I hold them in.

-" Why wouldn't I? Because you left me alone yesterday?", he accused me and I felt horrible, tightening my grip around him. I felt like claws were squeezing my stomach and my heart ache at the thought that he was mad and will tell me to leave him ... that he doesn't want me anymore.

-" It's not like that, I promise!", I needed him to listen to me.

-" But how is it Elise? I've waited for you all day!", he scolded me and I felt like the worst person in the world ... even worse than the beast.

-" That beast told my father to keep me inside the castle, I wanted to be with you so bad, but I had 5 guards around me all the time. That beast even sent me a she-wolf to train me and I couldn't outrun her, I tried.", I explained him, hoping that he would understand what had happened.

-" It doesn't mean that I can't be mad at you ... I thought you left me.", he looked sad, taking my hands into his and I let out a breath that I haven't realized that I was holding until then. I gave him a weak smile and pushed my head in his chest.

-" I will never leave you.", I assured him and I couldn't be happier that that was his only reason to be mad.

-" No matter what?", he asked and I wanted to tell him that I won't leave him, no matter what, but then the thought of another girl next to him popped up in my mind.

-" Well ... as long as you won't cheat on me.", I giggled at him, knowing that he would never do that to me.

-" Don't you worry about it.", he said tenderly, massaging my back and I remembered that yesterday I should have been here and leave with him away from here. I started to panic and overthink about how we could possibly leave now. I'm pretty sure that the boatman that agreed to take us away won't be willing to take us anymore. I backed away from his embrace and looked straight in his eyes.

-" What about our escape plan? How will we get away from here?"

-" It's alright, calm down. I will find someone else to take us there, just don't be sad. We still have time, that beast won't do anything to you for now, you don't have the age to go with him.", he reassured me and cupped my face and looking at me with love evident in his eyes.

I remembered that I could have been followed so I asked Nate to come check with me our surrounding so I could be sure that no one is here and relax, but he said that I could just wait for him on the bed while he checks the place. I trust him enough to relay on him for checking the place so I agreed.

We cuddled for a few minutes when I began to drift away and he asked me why I'm so sleepy 'cause I just woke up and I explained him that I have some ugly nightmares that keeps me awake every night. I was not ready to tell him about my nightmares, it always feels so real and I didn't wanted to talk about this today. I prefer to stay in his arms, feeling him close to me. 

He didn't pushed me and said I will tell him when I feel capable to. He let me sleep on his chest a few hours and it was a peaceful sleep. I didn't woke up screaming and covered in sweat anymore. Instead, I woke up on his chest ... or at least that's where I was supposed to wake up until I rolled off of him and fell.

I had no idea what have happened when I rose up from the ground. I felt like someone had hit me and I looked around, trying to open up my eyes for clear view. Then, I heard Nate's giggle and felt his touch on my bare shoulder and I felt the sparks erupting in the place he have been touching me. When I saw him, I closed my eyes and laid back down, jumping on his chest and remaining there, feeling his warm body and I heard his husky voice.

-" What happened sweet heart?", and God, I think I'm obsessed with his morning voice. I wriggled in his arms and said some incoherent words. I just woke up, what did he expected? " Did you sleep well?". Oh, you still got to ask? 

-" I wish I could sleep in your arms every single night.", I mumbled, still a bit dizzy, but then I realized what I have just told him!

-" You will. Soon enough.", he answered and I bet I looked like a tomato from all the blushing, but I had to stand by it now. It was true, but it made me feel shy.

-" Promise?", I asked with my puppy eyes on.

-" I promise.", he said, looking all smiley.

We kept cuddling and playing on the bed until the night came over us. He kept asking me to go back to the castle and I just couldn't get why he would want me to leave. No one knows where I am right now and we could run away now and go on foot instead of waiting for a carriage or a boat. It is a long distance, but it's better that meeting the beast again.

I complained and whined like a baby, telling him that I'm afraid to not be able to see him again and asking him to let me stay with him, to don't make me leave his side again. I was clinging to his neck tight so he won't move me, but he didn't and kept caressing me.

-" But what about your parent?", he sounded worried for me.

-" Why do you always want me to leave? All I want is to be here with you and my parents will never understand that. I don't care about that beast and his power. I want love ... not money and power.", I confessed him and his eyes softened at my statement. I truly don't care about the money. All my life I had money and love from my parents and Michelangelo, and now that I have money and no love ... it's awful. I want him, he understands me and pampers me.

We both got up when I slapped his arm and told him how I feel about the beast's power and he looked even more handsome into the moonlight. His green eyes are the most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen, and his full lips ... they looked so soft. His strong arms around my waist ... I just wanted to kiss him so bad, but I was afraid he's gonna reject me and I would feel horrible. I caressed his checks and looked into his eyes. I leaned closer to him and closed my eyes, hoping that he would be the one to kiss me first as he was also looking at my lips with need, but he didn't. I placed my forehead on his and I tried my luck, approaching slowly to kiss him. When I saw that he is not pulling back, I closed my eyes and put my lips on his. I did not exactly know how this works, but I saw my father kissing mother once, it was short tho.

I was happy that he didn't pull back from the kiss and I thought of it as a win and I wanted to break the kiss as I think it was already longer than my parents kiss, but he kissed me  back and pulled me closer to his body and licked my lips. I had no idea what he was doing and I wanted to open my mouth and speak to him, but he inserted his tongue inside my mouth and moved it around. It felt strange to me, but I followed his moves and at some point I think that a moan escaped my lips. Even stranger it was the feeling in my belly, I've never felt this way before.

I tossed my thoughts aside at that moment and focused on our first kiss and God was I right about the soft lips. When he pulled back I averted my eyes from his, being ashamed of what happened, but it also felt so good. I smiled shyly in the ground, licking his saliva off my lips and he put his hand under my chin, making me look up at him. I fidgeted in my palms and got all nervous at him, in a cute way, because his lustful gaze he had on me. I'm pretty sure he wanted more and I felt so happy that he accepted me.

He gave me a lingering kiss on the lips and rubbed his nose on mine. He was the sweetest in the whole world and I am sure gonna be so happy living with him, no matter where.

-" I thought you said we will kiss after the wedding.", I teased, holding on to his blouse. I find holding on to him comforting.

-" I've changed my mind.", he said while lifting me up from the ground, parting my legs on each side of his hips and took me with him. I don't have any idea where he wants to take me, but I know it's not gonna be something bad.

I avoided his gaze all the way there as I was still acting shy after the kiss. Then I realized that we got to the river and he wanted to jump ... with me in his arms! and I started to panic and scream at him, making him stop.

-" No, no, no! Wait! I don't know how to swim!", I yelled like a mad girl and held him tightly so he won't drop me.

-" Alright, it's alright, I won't throw you!", he assured me and I stopped screaming to be sure that I hear him right and that he will NOT jump with me into the water. I calmed a little, hearing that he won't do that, but I was still a little bit afraid of that thought. I can tell that he is confused by my reaction.

He didn't asked me any more question and he put me down, patting my head. He asked me to stay here and wait for him a few moments and assured me that he'll be back quickly. 

I watched him as he undressed and entered the river slowly. Have I mentioned early that he looks amazing under the moonlight? His broad back revealed to me and I knew that he has a bulky figure, but I never saw a man without his blouse or tunic on ... it looked so ... interesting and he has so much muscles. He stopped, but didn't turned away to look at me and I've took the liberty of staring at him longer. 

He moved on a side and I could also see his chest now, it looked so firm and sparkly from the water he was pouring on him. I wished I could go there and pour water for him, pamper him just like he pampers me, but I was afraid of the water.

He got out of the river and came towards me, but I didn't averted my eyes this time. I rose up from the ground and put my hands on his hips, lifting myself on my toes to reach him and I placed a soft kiss on his lips and his muscles stiffened on him and it looked amazing. I couldn't help but stare at his body and I know he noticed, but I didn't cared anymore.

He took my hands and placed them on his chest, letting me room my hands freely all over his torso. His firm chest felt amazing ... and his abs ...

-" Tonight we will sleep together, but tomorrow you have to go back. I promise that I will wait for you, no matter how long it takes you to sneak out again. I will be here.", he kept trying to convince me and I was too happy now to argue with him tho I felt a little sad at the thought of leaving him again.

-" Alright ... but you will be here, waiting for me?", I tried to make sure that he won't leave for good and I hugged him.

-" I will always be here waiting for you.", he looked at me tenderly. 

We got back to our spot and laid down and I caressed his back until I fell asleep.

In the morning I woke up to the smell of fried rabbit and fruits. It smelt so good I almost started to salivate and I got up to see him, standing beside me, c*****g the rabbit. We ate in silence and I straddled him so I could be close to his body while I ate. And then he decided that I should go back to the castle and I told him that I trust him. He wouldn't ask me to go back if he wouldn't be sure that I will be able to come back to him. I feel that he cares for me just as much as I care for him. 

I reached the castle and marched past the guards at the gate without looking at them. I don't need their stares now. 

I entered my room and I'm pretty sure that my father have been informed that I'm back 'cause he came rushing at my door and entered my chamber, but I was in the bathroom, dressing into a black gown and I screamed at him to don't enter my bathroom. He waited for me to get ready, pacing around my chamber and when I got out he began to scream at me about how reckless I can be for this.

-" That was the most stupid thing you could have ever done Elise! How dare you dishonor me like this?", he yelled at me.

-" What dishonor? You don't even know what I've been doing!", I yelled back at him and his eyes darkened.

-" Shame on you! You were gone for the whole night with that man and you're telling me that you've done nothing? I'm gonna make sure you won't EVER leave this castle again until King Nathaniel will take you to his kingdom.", he t*reatened me and then our butler burst in and announced us that King Nathaniel came here looking for me and my father stormed out of my room, going to meet the beast so he won't be waiting for long.

I was walking behind him slowly and he was there in a few seconds ... How pathetic.

I took my time getting there and when I was close enough, I thought that I've gone mad ... I just heard Nate's voice, talking to my father and telling him that he know where I've been. It couldn't possibly be him, he would never betray me like that, this has to be a mistake! But when I entered, there was just the beast sitting in my place. I didn't move away from the door, I was still trying to figure out what I just heard.

-" Come here, lady Elise. Don't be shy.", he roared at me and I was scared of his red glowing eyes and the power he emanates into the room. I looked down and played with the material of my gown. " Are you expecting to be punished?", he asked and I looked up at him. That means he knows ... he knows about everything!

 I tried to keep my composure and don't look scared at them.

-" Why should I?", I asked coldly.

-" You have been away my dear. If you wanted so bad to go out, you could have just asked me to accompany you.", and I rolled my eyes. He really doesn't know how to get past a rejection. " But don't worry, I'm going to forgive you, just this once.", and I looked suspicious for a moment before my father talked to ' his royal Highness', sounding incredulous by what he just said.

-" She have been gone for the whole night and you are going to forgive her?"

-" She have not been engaged in anything bad and there is no trace of another's male scent on her. I can forgive her just this time. But I won't be so merciful the next time she leaves without my knowledge.", and now my father and I both looked surprised at him. Is he going insane as well? Did he lost his abilities? He just said there's no other's male scent on me, but I cuddled with Nate all day and night and I had no time for a bath yet.

He took my father away to talk with him and when he was done, he asked of me to come along with him for a second and I agreed. I knew that he may want to talk about my sneak out.

-" Don't you dare even think that you won't be punished! I know exactly what you did last night and that won't be forgiven. I will keep my promise with the w*ipping and the part where you accept me and forget about everyone else, just you wait to be send to me!", he whisper- yelled at me and I looked down in shame, realizing that he knows about the kiss.

He stormed out of the castle and left for his kingdom. Now I was left alone with my curious father.

-" What did he said?", he rushed to ask me as soon as the beast left.

-" That he wants to see me again soon.", I lied to him to leave me alone and I turned my back at him and left to my chamber, taking an apple with me.

These are gonna be some 2 hard weeks for me.
