When I was adopted, I thought all my nightmares had ended. As it turned out, they had just begun. Oh, where are my manners? My name is Alya Mae Jenkins. I currently live in a small town in Montana with my adopted father Duane Jenkins. He is the town doctor who also works at the hospital. My father started abusing me when I was 8 years old. It started by touching me. It escalated from there. He said it was ok because that was how all daddies loved their little girls. I'm 17 years old now. Well, I will be at midnight tonight anyway. My father is also an alcoholic. No one in this town knows that he drinks this heavily at home. Today is the last day of school before summer vacation. I finally make it home, and it is eerily quiet. I opened the door and put my backpack down in my bedroom. He was drinking again. The whole house is littered with beer and other alcohol bottles. It smells worse than a bar. As I walked back into the living room, I was knocked to the ground by a slap across the face. "Where the f**k have you been, you little slut?" He screamed at me, taking off his belt while kicking me in the stomach. I landed under the dining room table. "Let me handle this," Luna said to me. That's when I feel my bones break. I looked down and I see 2 silver paws. That's when the table flips over. Luna growls at my Father. A growl filled with pain and anger for all the abuse I have suffered because of the man standing in front of us. I watch through Luna's eyes as she rips his throat out. I shift back to her a faint buzzing of the phone my best friend Cat got me last year on my birthday. "Hello Cat, I can't talk right now Hun. I need to call you back in a few." I tell her before hanging up. I called 911 and asked for an officer to come to the house, running upstairs grabbing a pair of shorts and tank top. I was numb as I walked to the door and opened it, going outside and sitting on the front porch. Waiting for the officers to arrive is the longest 5 minutes of my life. Officer Perez was the first to show up. As he is climbing out of his car, I finally lose it. I brake down crying hard. I'm covered in blood. All I can think about is what's going to happen to me now? As I look up more officers pull up to my house. One of them comes over to me and tells me if they had known my father would have been in prison. My phone started buzzing again. I look down at it. It's Cat again. "Hello," I said. "What the f**k is going on at your house? "There are Cops EVERYWHERE!!!!!" Cat screamed at me. Officer Sanchez takes my phone asking to talk to Cats parents. She tells me to go upstairs, take a shower and pack a bag. I'm not staying here. I walk up the stairs slowly. I hurt everywhere on my body and a hot shower sounds great. I take the longest shower of my life. When I get out I feel better than I did. Slowly I pack some clothes and other things in a duffle bag. Walking down the stairs I see everyone stop and look at me. "Come on sweetheart. I talked to Cats parents. They said you could stay with them as long as you want." Sanchez tells me. "Don't worry about anything here. It will be taken care of. There's a female doctor waiting for you when you get there. You don't need to tell me what he did. I already have an idea.We are not like that where I'm taking you. You will be safe." She tells me. I fall asleep during the drive to wherever she is taking me, startled when I'm shaken awake. I look around frantically taking in my situation only to be jumped on by a familiar figure. "Katrina get off our guest. Friend or not, she's been through Hell and does not need you jumping on her adding to her pain!" Cats dad yells at her. Luna let's out a massive growl at Cats father after he yells at Cat. That's when I noticed everyone on their knees with their heads bowed to me. I had no idea what was going on. "It's because We are a Lycan hybrid hunny." Luna tells me. "What the hell was that?" Cat yells. "Oh, that's my lycan. She likes you and doesn't tolerate disrespect in any way toward the people that she deems family." I tell Cat. "Wait, what?" Cat yells. "Ya evidently I'm a hybrid. I'm also a silver alpha Lycan. My Lycan does not play when it comes to family. It doesn't matter if it was your father that disrespected you. You are family. You knew about what was going on with my Father. Some of it anyway." I tell Cat. "You may rise now," I said to everyone. Cats father comes over to me. "I'm sorry for disrespecting you. I had no idea that you were a lycan. Please forgive me for my disrespect." he said falling on his knees. "Alpha the Prince's representative is at the gate. We are waiting for your instructions."I here a mind link from someone. You rule over werewolves because of your lineage. Oh my ...." Alpha Bryan gasps bowing down to someone behind me. I turn around annoyed at who ever was behind me. Growing I turn around and stare at the man behind me. I'm through being weak. I'm a Lycan hybrid and damn proud of it. I will not submit to just anyone. "Why are you not submitting to us little one?" the wolf asks me. "My Lycan does not submit to just anyone. I am also a hybrid," I tell him. "Surely you can't be more than a Lycan, and maybe a vampire. "Nothing more am I right?" the man asked me. How stupid can this man be? He might not be able to read my ora. Or see my eyes switching colors from where he's standing but the people around me could. I was beyond pissed. Everyone around me was trembling in fear. I need to get my feelings under control before something bad happens. Walking through the sea of people and out the door I see a little bench off to one side of the pack house I decide to go there to cool off. The stupid wolf follows me outside, keeping his distance. "The twin alpha kings are going to be here shortly and I expect they are going to have some questions for you after speaking to your alpha. I expect you to answer those questions truthfully to the best of your ability." he says to me. "I also expect you to show the proper respect to your superiors when being questioned." he says.
