Aria stood at the top of the temple stairs.

Kaelen stepped beside her, sword drawn.
“Give the order.”

Kaelen glanced at her.
“They're coming to kill us.”
“They're being controlled.”
Elias nodded.
“She is right.”
Aria lifted her hand.
“Break the control.”
Silver light spread across the valley.

Aria's power struck them.
One by one, the black marks on their chests cracked.
Some collapsed.
