Louve couldn’t keep running anymore, her heart was hurting and her wolf was getting weaker. She had been running for hours now. She had to stop but she could still hear the footsteps. Derek and Belvine we’re gaining on her. Louve tripped and fell on the cold, wet ground. She was too weak to stand up. She had changed back to her human form and was panting. It was as if her heart was being ripped out of her chest. Her mouth was dry and her legs were heavy. Derek and Belvine surrounded her in an instant, watching her fight to get up but falling back every time. She was sweating profusely and gasping for breath. “We got you know b***h,” Derek said, stepping on her back with his paws, he kicked her on the stomach and Louve cried out in pain. “You know, for a sick wolf, you’re very courageous running away like that,” Belvine snarled, she scratched Louve’s arm with her paw and blood oozed out. “Why don’t you get it over with?” Louve spat out. “Weren’t you sent to kill me, why don’t you kill me already?” she yelled. She was tired of fighting. Tired of living. Living with her heart condition was hard enough for her, then her parents death now she was been killed by her own pack members. It was all too much for her and she wished she could die at that moment. “You’re not going to beg?” Derek teased. “Who knows I might spare you,” he laughed, hitting her on the head. Derek loved making fun of weaker wolves. It was the only way he could feel good about himself. He was always ashamed that his sister was stronger than him. His parents scolded him everyday for not being good enough and he diverted the pain by bullying other people. “Let’s waste no time,” Belvine said, sick of her brother’s silly attitude. She knew they had run into a dangerous part of the forest. They were close to the Shadow Pack. The Shadow Pack was the most feared Pack in the world. It was rumored to be consisted of Alpha’s of other packs because the leader of the Shadow Pack killed their members. That’s right, only the strongest were in the Shadow Pack. The leader of the Pack was Alpha Havoc. Havoc wasn’t his real name, no one knew his birth name. In fact no one knew where he came from, or which pack he was born in. He was termed Havoc because of how ruthless and cold-hearted he was. He executed anyone that not only trespassed but came close to his territory. He was merciless and evil and Belvine did want to be his next victim. Derek and Belvine pounced on Louve and was beating her to death when they heard a loud growl. It shook the entire forest and all the small creatures hid in an instant. “What was that?” Derek asked scared. The twins froze. It was as if the world had stopped and the air had gotten colder. The forest was dead silent. A cold gust of wind blew and the twins could feel goosebumps. “We have to go,” Belvine whispered, she could sense a presence. A presence greater and more powerful and for the first time Derek saw fear flash through his sister’s eyes. For her to be scared, he knew whatever it was wasn’t worth knowing. The twins retreated and were running back to there pack when a huge werewolf came out from nowhere and pounced on Derek. The wolf tore him apart in an instant. Blood splattered everywhere, some even on his sister’s face. Belvine jaw eyes widened as she watched her brother get murdered in front of her. She watched Alpha Havoc kill in the worst way possible. Tearing him apart limb to limb and bones to bones like he was paper or a used rag. Belvine retreated in fear. Her wolf shivered as she drew back, afraid. She had just seen her brother get killed. Her mind was still trying to process it. She looked up at the beast, watching his every move as it stared at her with disgust. The beast was four times her size, he had broad shoulders and very sharp teeth and the eyes were dark and distant. It had to be the Alpha. The Alpha everyone talked about. Alpha Havoc. “How dare you?” the beast growled with anger, each step it took shook the forest. He moved closer to Belvine. The Alpha held her by the neck and started choking her. “How dare you attack my mate?” he asked again his tone louder than before. Belvine’s jaw dropped as she heard the word ‘mate’. How could Louve be his mate? Louve was a weakling, a sick wolf. She was skinny and had little flesh and her wolf wasn’t even pretty. How could she be the mate to the strongest Alpha in the world? “I....,” Belvine stammered unsure of what to say. There is no way she could get away from this now.
