Kyra POV
I was in the hospital. My memories from the fight are fuzzy, but the doctor says I should be able to remember everything in a few days.
My mom came all the way from our pack lands to see me. Apparently, someone had informed her against Ethan's wishes. He didn't want her to know because he knew she would worry and he didn't think it was necessary to bother her.
It made me upset that he didn't tell her. But at the same time, I understood his reasoning. If I had been awake, I wouldn't have told her either.
I woke up three days ago and Aiden still hasn't come to see me. Ethan has, but he still hasn't spoken a word to me. It makes me wonder what is going on outside of this damn room.
"Ethan?" I asked him, startling and causing him to stop daydreaming.
"Yes, Love?" He seemed off lately and it was bothering me.
"Where is Aiden? Something doesn't feel right." I don't know how I knew, considering we haven't marked each other yet, but I felt it deep in my gut.
"Honestly, I have no clue. He went after the rouge that attacked you and hasn't been seen since. We have people out looking for him, but the trail has gone cold. We may try asking for assistance from the other packs if he doesn't show up soon." He looked down at the floor.
I guess he cares more about his brother than he lets on.
I decided that I had spent enough time in this damn bed at that second. "Mom!" I yelled for her, using my alpha ora. She came running into the room.
"What is it, baby girl?" She was frantic, thinking that something was wrong with me.
"I want to be discharged now, go get my doctor and tell her. I will not wait for her to get in here, so I will most likely be gone before she can get in here." I started yanking cords off and started to pull out my IV when Ethan put his hands over mine.
"You cannot leave. I won't let you. I know how you feel right now, but you need more rest."
I smirked at him and growled, "I have rested long enough. Tonight I find that rouge bastard and rip his head from his shoulders."
Ethan POV
Goddess, she was hot. The way she wanted to go off and kill that son of a b***h for what he has done turned me on, but at the same time, I was worried for her safety.
"How about we wait. You can go home with me, but I want you to stay with me. Please. You don't have any idea what I have been through waiting here for you to wake up. I can't go through that again. No matter how much you may hate me, I-never mind. Just don't go after him. Not yet."
I almost told her. I can't do that. Not now, not yet. She can't know, because she will surely runoff.
She sighed. "Fine. But, if Aiden isn't back within forty-eight hours, I will be going after him."
Goddess, I felt my d**k twitch at how caring she was. The expression she wore and her tone of voice was really turning me on.
I cleared my throat, "Your mother will escort you back to your room, I need to speak with your doctor about a few things. I should be back within a few hours."
She glared at me, "Your mom also brought you some clothes, they should be in the bathroom."
I walked over to the bed and sat down next to her. I put my arms around her and put my face in the crook of her neck.
"I am so sorry this happened to you." I kissed the spot where my mark should be and she shivered.
I stood up and left the room.
Aiden POV
I had escaped those dumb a*s rouges. They only had three of them in that basement with me and five in the house above. They really underestimated me. It was simple to escape and they were easier to kill than I anticipated. Before I left, I burned the house to the ground.
I walked through the forest, I still couldn't shift because of all of my wounds and the wolfsbane in my blood, but as soon as it was gone I would shift.
Aiden: Ethan! Can you hear me!
Ethan: Brother, you're alive! Thank the goddess. Did you hear everything I told you about Kyra?
Aiden: Yea, is she awake yet?
Ethan: Yes, she just woke up three days ago and today, she wanted to run out and look for you. You should feel special!
Aiden: Quit teasing brother. I should be home by tonight. Don't let her leave the house. I killed eight of the rouges, but the one that almost killed her is still out there and they are working with the neighboring alpha. It isn't safe for her to be off pack grounds.
Ethan: Alright, I will try my best to keep her safe. Get home soon brother, I have missed you.
I laughed in my head and cut the mind link.
I walked for hours before I found someone from my brother's pack. It was dark already and he didn't see me coming.
"You should pay more attention," I commented, startling him.
"Alpha Aiden?"
I nodded and he pulled out his phone ordering someone to bring a vehicle to transport me to the house.
Finally, we get to sleep in a bed. I said to my wolf and he barked out laughter.
I am more excited about our mate, s**t head, and food! He said back making me laugh at him in my head.
Kyra POV
I have been in my room with mom all day. We have watched movies and eaten pizza, but for some reason, I was still on edge.
After a while, Ethan came in and sat with me on his lap for a while. He seems like he needs me close to him after what has happened.
When it got darker outside, I started drifting off and rested my head on Ethan's shoulder.
He was whispering things to my mother, but I couldn't catch any of it. I ended up falling asleep after he kissed my temple.
When I woke up, I was in my bed. There were two people there with me. One was Ethan and the other was someone who looked like Aiden. But it couldn't be, could it?
"Aiden?" I asked softly, waking up both of them.
"Yes?" He asked. It was Aiden.
I threw myself at him and wrapped both my arms and legs around him like a spider monkey.
Both my mates barked out laughter and I just buried my face into Aiden's neck.
I hadn't realized that I cared for them this much. I could have sworn that I hated them both, but at this moment, I loved them.
Love them? No, I can't. Not after everything that has happened.
I wasn't talking to my wolf, but Koda spoke anyways, Yes, you can love them. We both do. Just accept it.
And at that moment, I did. I accepted my feelings for them. I forgave them both for everything and I truly loved them.
Aiden and Ethan stopped laughing then.
I pulled away from Aiden and looked at them.
"What's wrong?"
They were both clutching at their chests, tears in their eyes.
Then they looked at me.
"It's gone. The curse is gone. I don't feel it anymore." Ethan said.
A bright light flashed through the room. A woman laughed, "No, this is only the beginning of the end. From this point on, Kyra must love you both, equally and unconditionally, or the curse will be fully replaced. Except, when it is put back in place, it will no longer be possible for it to be broken. If she manages to love you both for the rest of the year without consequence, then the curse will be gone for good." Then she turned to me, "Kyra, there will be some obstacles to overcome, but remember to always trust your gut and do what you believe is the right thing to do." And without another word, she was gone.
I looked at my mates and they were starring at me.
"You love us?" Ethan asked hesitantly.
I looked at the floor and nodded. I was embarrassed to admit it.
Aiden tackled me to the bed and attacked my lips with his. His lips were softer than anything I had ever felt before. I parted my lips, allowing his tongue entrance to my mouth. Our tongues danced together before he pulled away. He moved away and Ethan took his place. This time, I took control. I flipped Ethan onto his back and straddled his abdomen. I had a feeling this was going to be a long night.
