Chapter 3: Dinner with Him

I am thankful to Luke because even though I hurt him before. He still helped me to get a job. So I will do everything so that he can forgive me. And above all, Our Almighty God for sending me an instrument to get me accepted as a secretary in the top company across Asia.
At 6 in the evening, I called Luke.
"Luke, where do you want us to have dinner?" I asked him by phone. Hopefully, we will only eat at a cheap restaurant.
"At J and B Restaurant," He replied briefly. But only rich people eat there, and I only have 2000 pesos in cash.
"But Luke, I still do not have enough money to eat at a fancy restaurant. Can we just eat here near my apartment?" I begged him.
"If you do not want to, just do not treat me to dinner! Okay, Bye!" He replied irritably.
"Wait! Alright, I'll agree!" I replied. I just agreed with him so that he would not be angry with me again.
"Okay! I will pick you up now! Send your address. Bye!" He said and hung up the phone. I do not truly understand Luke, sometimes cold, sometimes hot-headed.
After I sent him my address, I wore a formal dress because Luke did not want me to wear sexy clothes back then.
A few minutes later, there was an expensive car parked in my apartment. And it was a 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. And its value is 17million USD. So I was impressed with what I saw. But I was surprised at the driver of the car because it was Luke.
"Hey, Luke! Wow! Your car is very pricey; did Brylle lend it to you?" I asked him with excitement.
"Nope! I owned this one. Why?" He replied coldly.
“You are kidding, aren’t you?" I asked him with disbelief. I do not believe him because this car is expensive. I know he can't afford it.
"Whatever! I know that even then, you did not trust my capacity. But it is okay," then he laughed bitterly.
"Sorry!" I replied to him. I feel sorry for Luke because maybe he thought I was a Gold Digger, So he borrowed an expensive car to brag to me.
When we arrived at the restaurant, no one was eating. So I feel relieved.
"Shall I order now?" Luke asked me while smiling.
"Yeah!" I replied while looking around.
"How come no one is eating here right now?" I asked myself.
Luke had already told his order to the waiter, but neither one I understood.
"You Sav, what do you want to eat?" He asked me with a pitiful look.
"Let's just share what you ordered," I told him and smiled fakely.
"No! I don't want to share my food. Ahm... Waiter! even if it is not on your menu, cook pork adobo with pineapple and spicy chop suey for her." Luke instructed the waiter. I can’t look directly at Luke because, until this day, he still knows my favorite food.
"Yes, Sir!" The waiter replied and left, but I called him.
"No, It is embarrassing! I'll just choose from your menu," I told them, but Luke insisted.
"Waiter, go away! Hurry up. I am hungry!" Luke told him coldly. Then, the waiter was confused, and he ran fast.
"Why does the waiter seem scared of Luke?" I asked myself.
"How much do you think we'll pay now, Luke?" I asked him with a shy face.
"You can ask later! Let's enjoy and celebrate your first day of work tomorrow. Hahaha! Why are you restless? " Luke asked with a worried look.
"Nothing!" I lied to him. But I am worried about how much I’ll pay now.
Twenty minutes later, our order arrived. I was surprised because Luke ordered a lot. I am losing my appetite.
"Let's eat, Sav! Will you just look at the food?" He said with a frown.
"Okay!" I replied briefly. I will just wash the dishes later.
I did not waste any food because of the deliciousness of their food here. When I was satiated, I called the waiter.
"Waiter, How much is the total?" I asked him.
" Ten thousand pesos, Ma'am!" The waiter replied, so I sweated.
"Okay! Thank you! I will pay the cashier later!" I replied and wiped away my sweat.
"Are you all right, Sav? Why are you sweating? There's air conditioning here; what's the matter?" He asked me with a worried look.
"Don't worry about me. I am fine!" then I smiled at Luke.
"Do you need money? I have money here; do you want to borrow?" Luke offered money, but I am ashamed.
"No, it's fine! You can go home first; I still have a lot to do," I lied to him because I wanted to talk to the cashier first.
"But..." and his phone rang.
"Wait, excuse me," He said, and I immediately went to the cashier.
"Excuse me, Ma'am! I only have 2,000 pesos in cash now. Can I just wash the dishes? Because I don't have a salary yet, I will pay you next month. Please, Ma'am!" I begged her.
"All right, don't eat here any longer if you don't have enough money, okay?" the cashier replied with a raised eyebrow.
"Okay, Ma'am! Thank you," I was happy to answer her even if she was rude to me.
I had already started washing the dishes, but someone spoke behind me.
"Look who's here! Why are you washing the dishes?" Luke asked me with disbelief. So I was shocked and embarrassed.
"Didn't I tell you to go home?" I said with an angry voice because I no longer had a face to show him.
"Next time, cut your pride, okay? Because I feel sorry for you, I will just help you wash the dishes," Luke replied and tapped my shoulder.
At first, we did not say a word because I was embarrassed until he accidentally dropped the plate.
"Luke, are you okay?" I asked him worriedly.
"Because you are quiet, I intentionally dropped the plate," then he laughed.
"What?" I ask him in shock. And suddenly, the waiter came in and confusedly picked up the cracked plate.
"Sir, are you okay?" The waiter asked him worriedly.
"I am fine! You can go now!" Luke replied, and I just looked at him.
"Come on, Sav! Help me!" He called me. When I approached him, he put bubbles on my face.
"Stop it!" I yelled at him. But he did not stop, so I put on his face as well.
"Luke, you are handsome when there are bubbles in your face. Hahaha! The Handsome Dishwasher!" and I took a picture of him.
"We should both take selfies," He suggested. I feel like the former Luke is coming back.
"Sure!" I replied. After we took a selfie, we finished washing the dishes so we could go home.
After we washed the plate, he drove me to my apartment.
When we arrive.
"Sav, can I come into your apartment?" Luke asked me while following me.
"What? What will you do?" I asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"I just want to see if you are safe inside," He replied. So I was stunned. Why did Luke suddenly worry about me?
"Really? Okay! As you wish!" I replied. When we got inside, I told him.
"Just wait in the living room first. I'll just get dressed!" then I entered my bedroom.
When I took off my clothes, the light suddenly went out. In the extreme darkness of my bedroom, I could not find my clothes to wear.
"Luke, please get my cellphone in my bag. Don't look at me, okay?" I called him while waiting for him at the door. I was just wearing a bra and panty.
"Just wait! I am coming!" He replied. But I still can't see him.
"Luke? Where are you?" I called him.
And suddenly, the light came back on. So I screamed because Luke saw me without clothes.
"No! Close your eyes!" I shouted at him and closed the door. I was so nervous. I knew Luke was surprised by what he saw. It was the Electric Company's fault!
After 30 minutes, I did not leave the room. I was embarrassed. So Luke knocked on the door.
"Sav, are you okay?" He asked me worriedly.
"I am not okay! You can go home now!" I shouted at him.
"Don't worry! I did not see your pink panty!" He teased me.
"Shut up!" I yelled at him.
"Okay! Good night sexy! I gotta go!" He replied. A few minutes later, I went out of the room because it was already quiet.
"Thank God Luke is gone!" I said as I picked up my bag.
"Who says I am leaving? Hahaha!" He said while laughing.
"Luke? Why are you still here?" I asked him and covered my face.
"You are blushing, Sav! Don't worry. I have seen many women naked, So I'm used to that!" He replied, which infuriated me.
"If you are used to it, but I am not! So I am disgusted because of all the people you are the one who saw me wearing a bra and panty!" I told him without looking at his face.
"Okay! Thank you because I am first!" then he winked at me.
"Shut up! You may go now!" I yelled at him.
"Okay! Good night, Sexy Pink!" He said while laughing and left.
"Shut up!" I shouted at him.
"Goodbye, Sav!" then he waved at me.
"Annoying!" I whispered.
I could not help but get angry with myself because I was so stupid. How am I going to face Luke tomorrow?
"Did Luke sleep soundly? Or does he remember Savannah's beautiful curvy body?"
