Silently lost

Dixie (POV)         As I try to hang on but lose my grip as I'm falling I can smell the ocean and hear the waves crashing on the rocks .    Then I feel cold and wet and I'm surrounded by water as I sink. It's only a matter of time before they come in to get me or just leave me to die. Ten years earlier  Dixie (POV)      Hey dad, can I go to the park? I won't cause any problems, I promise.  Dixie’s dad  Yes you can but be back in an hour for grandma's birthday party.  Dixie (POV)  Hey Brett what you doing and I can only stay for an hour we are having a birthday party for my grandma  Brett (POV)  I wish I could come. Do you want to hear what Jeffery told me but you can't tell your parents ok.     Dixie (POV)  Yes what is it Brett (POV) Well he said that he saw some guy moving stuff with his mind. Dixie (POV) I don't think so he just says things to make it seem cool or crazy.    Brett (POV) Well my mom is calling see you later ok and have fun at the party.  Dixie (POV)  Ok see you later have great day with your mom. Now I have to go home just hope the Murphy's dog is put up this time. I really don't want to go around the back ally it's so are to open the gate now. I got mad cause it was hard to open then I just staired at it and it started to melt. Thats the day I got scared and told my mom and dad they told me not to tell any one. A few years ago someone was seen moving things with his mind and another person starting fires with their hands. It's called an abnormal ability and the government dose not like it. So if you have any then they take you and try to stop it or remove it. The last time they found someone with one and they left we didn't see them again.       Dixie dad (POV)  Good your home help your mom in the kitchen and then go put Butter in the back yard.               Dixie (POV)  Ok dad hey mom what do I need to put out on the tables and were is the drinks.  Butter here boy come one lets go outside.  I still can't even believe he ate a whole bowl  of butter when he was a puppy.     As the party starts and everyone is showing up. My older brother and my cousin take a lot of food up to his room. After they disappeared up the stairs grandma comes over and tells me to go get butter. I go to let him in and he not here. As I look at the back gate it's wide open. I yell BUTTER BUTTER WERE ARE YOU BUTTER then I feel this burn. I pull away from what ever it was and there was a man standing there holding fire. He said the dog ran out after he came in. I think he was hiding from someone but then he looks at me and says way aren't you running. I don't answer cause I'm scared and can't move. He turns and asked me what's going on inside? I tell him my grandma's birthday party. He then asked me how old is she? I shake my head and shrug my shoulders to tell him I don't know.     Man with fire (POV)   Do you have any special abilities or no because I think you do. Even if you say you dont I think you do. The way you're looking at my hand it's like you want to do this to.  Dixie (POV)  As he gets closer to the house I can't help   But say NO in a quick but quite way.  Man with fire (POV)  What are you scared of me or the fire. I wouldn't hurt you I promise.  Dixie (POV)  As I stand there with the gate open. I tell him it not the fire or him its what he might do with the fire. Then I see something shinny around his ankle. Sir what's that. around your. Man with fire (POV) THAT DOSE NOT CONCERN YOU! Dixie (POV) As he yells at me he then drops the fire and runs out the gate. When he runs passed me I see butter laying on the ground not moving. I look back at the house and the fire has crawled up the side and on to the roof. I want to scream and run but I cant. I'm block from running back inside so I run around the house to the side gate. It's locked and I cant get to the front. I hear my mom yell fire everyone out side and I see them start to run out the door. Then I hear a voice ask if I'm ok. I turn and see a lady. I can't tell who she is but I grabbed the gate and pushed really hard trying to get away and I don't know why. As they get closer I panic and just close my eyes. The lady touches my shoulder and picks me up. She tells me it's ok and that all I have to do is breath. After that she turns around and walks away. As the house on the inside of the fence is in a blaze I hear my mom yelling for me.  Dixie mom (POV)  DIXIE DIXIE WHERE ARE YOU! Dixie (POV)  Mom I'm right here. As I yell from back here she dose not hear me and heads for the house but my dad grabbed her. He tells her she will be ok and that I'm probably around back. I start to shake the gate to make noise but I don't notice that I'm starting to melt it. As I start to feel the gate move under my hands I let go. I take a deep breath and gently grabe the gate. The bars start to harden as I hold it. I can make thing melt,freeze and many other things I just have to concentrate hard enough. Then without thinking to hard about it the gate pop open and I ran to my mom. Dixie mom (POV) Oh baby girl there you are. I was scared half to death. Do you know how this happend.  Dixie (POV) No and I cant find Butter he wasn't in the back yard when I went to get him. As I lie to my parents about what happend. The man that dropped the fire. I never saw him again but it felt like someone was watching me. Today is my tenth birthday and I cant wait plus I have a new friend and he told me that I was nice. He was new to town and was scared at school. The first thing I said was hi I'm Dixie you want to come to my party. Then I gave him an invitation to come. He said thank you and he will be there but I have yet to see him. Williams (POV)  Hey Dixie whats up I got you something. I hope you like it. This is my mom and dad.  Dixie (POV) William you mad it. It's probably a really good one. Hello Mr.and Mrs.Smith nice to meet you. Its wounderful that you could make it. The presents go over by the fish tank. After the fire we got a new house and even a fish tank this time. The fish tank is so cool there's lot of colorful fish in there. William (POV) This party is cool and I wish this was my party. I didn't have one last year. There really wasn't a lot of other kids at my other school. Dad got a new job so that's why we moved here. Dixie (POV) Well I will help you make new friends and it's really not that hard here. Everyone it nice and good about being a great friend. Lets go say hi to everyone in the back yard. Brett Jeffery and Jamie this is William.  William (POV) Hello nice to meet y'all I really haven't got to meet that many new people yet. My dad got a new job so we had to move.  Brett (POV)  It ok and I know how it is being the new kid. We had to move because there was a lot of people. The house also started to smell and no matter what we couldn't get it out of there. Jeffery (POV) Hey man what's up you should get some punch its really good. While walking back to the house I get this feeling to look right. Then in that very moment I see him the man that set the fire. I can only see his eyes though the fence but I know it's him. I walk in to the house ask mom were dad is and then freeze. All at once he walks in to the house and says hey Hope were is the birthday girl. My mom looks up and pulls me back against her. She then says what are you doing James. Hope (POV) Babby go play with your friends. James what are you doing here? You can't be around us you know that.  James (POV) Well after the fire and hearing about the little ones birthday. I thought I would say hi and get to know my niece. I was put away before she was born and now I'm not so ya. I got her something can I give it to her or is this a bad time.  Dixie (POV) I go outside and find my dad. Daddy there's this man in the house. Mom called him james and then told me to go play.  Braden (POV) Dixie take your friends and get in the tree house don't come out until I call.  Dixie (POV)  I ask everyone if they want to see my new tree house. They all said ya and we all go up and just as we get up there. James comes out and yells I understand I would be scared to. He turns and walks back inside. Hope (POV)  Ok you can put the gift on the table with the others James (POV) Then just leave right and it's supposed to stay that way right? Every thing just go back to the way it was before. Well fine I just have one thing to say to her. Braden (POV) You don't need to go out there she dosen't even know you or who you are. James (POV)  Out of my way. I understand I would be scared to. I will leave but this is just the beginning. Hope (POV) Braden how did he find us we moved over three streets and even changed jobs. What are we going to do. Dixie (POV) Dad can I have my party next weekend? I don't feel like it's a good time to have one. After mom and dad start to tell all the parents sorry for what happened and when we will have another one. Hey mom who was that and why was he mad. Hope (POV) Well sweetheart that was your uncle. He did something bad before you were born and was put away for it. Braden (POV) He was told by the law to stay away from us so when you were born you could be safe.  Dixie (POV) So he is my family? Why was he all mad? Braden (POV) Well he thinks that he should get to do what he want with out getting in trouble. Dixie (POV) So I should stay away from him. I don't like him and he makes me feel like I'm going to burst in to flames. Dose he Have what I have. In that moment both my parents looked at watch other and then back at me. Hope (POV)  Yes he dose but that's not the point right now you need to know that has not nice and stay away from him. Dixie (POV) Can he make fire or freeze things? Dose he do a lot of things or just one thing.   Braden (POV) Why do you want to know? If its cause you think he will understand what it's like. You need to know he dose not care about anyone but his self. Ok so do not and mean do not try to talk to him. Dixie (POV)  Ok I will and I love y'all mom and dad. I going to bed I'm really tired from today goodnight.    Five years later Dixie (POV) BRETT. Stop running I'm not that fast you win ok. Lets go get lunch at the cafe its only a few more minutes up the road. You should be in track your really fast.    Brett (POV)  I know I plain on being in track and cross country. I just hope that Sarah is to shes great to work with and be around you know. Dixie (POV) Well I just hope that I can get out of P.E. we are going to be late on the first day if we don't hurry.  Brett (POV) Well I just think you need to get taller and faster. No buts about it. You were way taller than me before high school. Now you're a short little s**t aren't you. Race ya. Dixie (POV) Hey that's cheating no fair you have longer legs. As we run to the bus stop I see something out of the corner of my eye. A flame I stop and look right then left. I can't find it but I know I saw it.  Brett (POV) Hey Dixie come on before your left. Here sit by me. What were you looking for any way?  Dixie (POV) Nothing I just thought I saw something but it was nothing. As I walk in to the kitchen coming from the bus stop. I get this really weird feeling that I need to leave. All at once I take off running out the back. Then just as fast as I started to run I get stoped by someone pulling on hoodie. I hit the ground and then I'm yanked back up on my feet. I try and get away but they have a firm hold and wouldn't let go. Then I feel myself flying across the kitchen table. I land in something wet and sticky and it's dark. They walk over and pull me up by my hoodie again. This time I take and push off the floor and nock them off balance. We both fall to floor in to the sticky mess. Then I hear a noise either from the wash room or my parents bed room. I try and gain my balance but I slip and hit the floor. Then on my second attempt they pull on my pants. My mom comes out of her room holding her stomach. I yell for her to run but she just says no. Get out of here baby girl run and hid dont come back until I call you. As I try to stand again im pulled down and this time they start to crawl over me. I then see who it is. The one person I didn't think it would be. My uncle James. I start to get made at him then he looks at me and smiles. I just realized he was beating me up for a reason and I don't know what that reason is. I stop myself from hurting hin but then he puts his hand around my neck. He starts to squeeze and I cant breath.  Hope (POV) Not today James if you want someone come get me and let her go. I should of gotten ride of you a long time ago. James (POV) Well well well you really want to challenge me little sister. I don't think you can handle me but you can try.  Dixie (POV) I look at my mom as I start to fad but then I hear them talking but not what they are saying. He stops chocking stands and steps over to my mom. She looks at me then at him and I see my chance. I start to stand up even though I'm still kinda dizzy. I get to the back door and my jacket is heavy. I look down at my sleeves and they are covered in blood. I pull it off and open the back door. I run over to the back gate open it take off my shoes and Chuck them over the fence next to me and run over to my tree house. I get up there and stay silent I then hear someone come out the back door. It's James.  James (POV) She thinks she is smart. You can run but you can't hide any more little one. Dixie (POV)  He goes out the gate and take a right following the foot steps I had put there. I wait to see if he will come back. After it turns dark I don't hear or see him but I don't hear or see my parents either. I sleep in my tree house and when the sun wakes me. I realized it was all true and I wasn't just dreaming. I want to go in side and look around but for fear I will find what my hart know already I stay put. Then I hear someone come though the gate. It's a man and I can hear him dialling a number. Man on phone (POV) He made a complete mess of things and she's not here that's why he didn't come back. He's looking for her. Well he should of let someone els handle it but no he had to bring her in his self. He needs to fix it or I will she's the key and I cant stretch that enough.  Dixie (POV) He gets off the phone and I peak out the window I see Sandy Brown hair and he looks back at the house. I freeze but he doesn't see me but his eyes are a bright green. Then they change to blue and he turns and walks away. After a few hours I get down from my hiding spot. I make my way to the door and open it. The feeling of sadness and fear but then there was a little bit of bravery and strength. With that Udall in and I see my jacket laying there with blood on it. I step over it and see why there is blood every were. My dad was laying there with his neck ripped open. I then find my mom in the hall way. She was staged and then strangled. I walk over and neal down to look at her closely. She had a marking on her neck. I saw it on my uncle's to but my dad didn't have it. I then get up go in t the bathroom and look in the mirror. To my surprise I have one to but it's not the same as theirs. It's way different but I have one
