Her Alpha Mate

Chapter 3

Jaxon's POV

"Dude, you better stop kidding. This is not funny" I scoffed at Tyler.

"What? Man.. I can see it in your eyes that you are going to reject her. Then what's your problem?" He asked me in return.

Oh! Did something just hit me? Yes! It is the f*****g mate bond!

I didn't bother telling him anything. I just stormed out of there and went to my chemistry class. f**k it! I'm in no mood for chemistry. I entered the classroom only to be greeted with my mate laughing. She seemed happy. She's beside this tall guy. I don't know who he is. He seemed to make her happy and my mood instantly turned into anger.

She's my mate for f**k sake!

I passed by her but she's so indulged in laughing that she didn't even look at me. It's not like I want her attention, but God dammit! What's happening to me? Am I jealous??

I sat just behind her so I could listen to what they're talking about. But when I turned to my left I saw Tyler looking at my mate with affection in his eyes!!

What the actual f**k!!!!!!

I stormed out of my room and into the woods not caring that I may get detention. I didn't care about my clothes ripping off. I shifted mid air into my big black wolf and sprinted in the woods. I had a run for an hour and stopped by a lake. I moved forward to look at my reflection in the water. I saw a big black wolf with blue eyes staring back at me.

I sighed.

I sat there till God knows when and went back to pack house. Everyone made their way and bowed their heads to me. Momentarily I forgot that I'm the Alpha now. My mind is somewhere else. I mindlinked Tyler.

"Get me my clothes! I ripped them during my shift."

"Yes Alpha!"

He knows when to call me by name and when to call me Alpha. He'll be a better beta than his dad.

Soon he came back with a white tee and basketball shorts.

"I got your backpack from school. No need to worry" Tyler said again and I nodded.

"Jaxon" I heard my dad yelling at me and I knew what was coming next.

"You ran away from school?" He asked. Or more like he demanded me.

"It's f*****g ok dad. Just went for a run" I shrugged.

"Stop using profanities. You're an Alpha now. And you'll act like one" he used his stern tone and I stormed out of there.

I just can't stop thinking about her and it already made me weak. This is getting on my nerves.

"What's up dude?" Tyler asked me sitting beside me on couch

"Tell me since when" I asked, not looking at him. Hope he gets what I am asking for.

"Eighth grade it was. It's been 4 years and I still kinda like her. I wished she was my mate. Do you see the way she laughs? That literally takes my breath away." He said with dreamy eyes.

My mind pushed the image of her laughing today and I mentally groaned.

"I gotta thank you for this. If it weren't you, I wouldn't have met her" he said again and I choked on my own saliva.

"Me?" I asked like it was something forever mystical.

"Yeah. Remember when you broke my ankle during practice and refused to help me walk to school because you gotta go to Veronica, that's when she helped me. If you didn't go that day, she wouldn't have helped me" he said, patting my shoulder.

"f**k! You mean I acted as your matchmaker?" I whisper yelled at him

"Looks like it," he muttered and went into the kitchen. I hope he gets me some water.

I waited for half an hour but Tyler isn't back yet. I went into the kitchen to see what's happening.

"Oh thanks!" I heard my mate's voice and I saw that she's blushing.She is an Omega so I guess she is here for the chores.

"I know this is too early but, can I take you on a date?" Tyler asked and my eyes bulged out of my skull. I can practically feel my anger bursting through me. I hope my mate denies it.

"Oh come on. We both know that Jaxon doesn't want you" Tyler said and my mate nodded with a sad smile.

Did she just agree to go on a date with a guy?! Since when am I a jealous type of person?

"I'll pick you up at 7 tomorrow?" He asked and my mate smiled.

What the f**k now!!!!!

I grabbed my phone from the table in the living room and dialled the number that I wanted to.

"Hey Ver, wanna hangout tonight?" I asked and she answered what she always does.

"Ok! I'll see you then" I said and hung up only to see my mate looking at me with disgust before she left.

“You could have mindlinked her,ass!” Mason yelled at me.

I care least about her now. Goddess knows how fast I want to reject her. But this jealousy is eating me alive.

I punched the nearest wall. My knuckles started bleeding but I still felt numb. It's like.. my mate has my heart and she crushed it just with her two fingers.
