Alpha's Mate

The Moon has been around since the existence of the Earth. Days, years, and centuries pass as it silently watched the Earth. She watched as humans took care of the Earth, then over time they began to destroy it, turning it toxic. When the Earth began to die, the moon decided she had done enough watching. Picking carefully, she chose 100 people and used her glow to turn them into something more, half-wolf, half-human, the packs were created, bound to their Luna forever. Soon after the pack's creation, came the wars, and then came the nuclear war that wiped out billions of humans, almost destroying the earth it forced all living things to retreat into the deep forests to wait for the wastelands to become livable again. 200 years later, the packs grew trees, fixed the earth, and destroyed the remaining footprints of the humans. The last humans were forced into hiding, Luna turned those she saw at night, those that we caught were either turned or became slaves to the packs for the remaining of their lives.  The packs were taught to live clean and filter out any footprint of the humans. Each pack built a city, only one-floor buildings were allowed and any factory or unclean air was filtered as it was released, every week they burned their trash and recycled it into the earth, and filtered all water exiting their cities. Earth hadn't been this clean since humans began occupying every continent. Finally, Luna could relax again. Luna had but one law, each Alpha was allowed to rule for 100 years, then they had to pass down their reign and strength to their firstborn or an Alpha blood in their pack. Each pack bore three Alpha blood, not including the pups an Alpha would father over their years as Alpha, three years later, five Beta blood would be born. Alpha and Beta blood had a life span of 250 years, other wolves have a life span of 175 years. Only one Alpha would be chosen and one Beta would be paired with that Alpha by Luna. The Alpha and Beta blood not chosen would become First Officers, the security of the pack, stronger than the other wolves but not as strong as the chosen Alpha and Beta.  If a pack's Alpha refused to pass on their rights and strength, they would face the wrath of Luna.  The mating season. This season only happened once every ten years and for only one week. This was every wolf's chance to find the mate Luna had chosen for them. Only the Alpha and Beta blood were different. The chosen Alpha would have to wait until their 75th birthday, the day they became Alpha, to receive their mate. The chosen Betas mate would come their second season as Beta. The Officers would receive their mates the third season after Alpha and Beta were chosen. No Alpha could father a pup until their 25th year as Alpha. This was the way of the packs. It took 867 years, for a pack to have the stupidity of challenging Luna's law. The Seers had been the strongest pack under the most ruthless Alpha the packs had ever known. When the time had come, he killed every alpha blood wolf and pup in his pack, he refused to give up his reign. One light cycle later the last survivors of the Seers made their way to a pack known as the Timbers. Refusing to speak of what they had seen, they asked to be accepted to the TImbers pack. No one even dared to question Luna's law after that day.  The Timbers quickly became the strongest pack ever known. Their entire existence they were the only pack to have stayed under one family's rule, they were also the last surviving pack from the original ten packs created. The most respected and powerful pack, no pack questioned or challenged their status. Below the cliffs in a hidden valley, laid one of the last human settlements on earth. Hiding from the moon at night, wolves during the day, the settlement had survived quietly for 867 years. One stormy night, when the sky filled with a bright blue light, a very small baby girl with long platinum blonde hair showed up on the Chief of the settlements doorstep. Chief Andy Deerson questioned where the baby had come from but his wife Maliah, having just given birth to their stillborn daughter that night, convinced him to let her keep the baby girl, raising her as their own. They agreed that no human in the settlement would know the truth, they would only know her as their future Chief, daughter of Andy and Maliah.  Main Characters Chief Andy Deerson-long grey hair with bright green eyes, tall with pale skin, four-pack with some arm-leg muscle.
