Easton rolled up his sleeves both literally and figuratively as he jogged down the stairs to the first floor. He’d messed up with Riley and he was prepared to do everything in his power to make things right between them again. He’d start with pastries. Specifically chocolate croissants from Butter Cake Bakery downtown. Riley could eat a box of them. In fact, Easton had watched him do so on several occasions, refusing to share the entire time. Kept slapping his hand away whenever he reached for one. He didn’t buy the forgiveness Riley had shown last night. He accepted things too fast after how passionate he’d been at the parking lot.
