Rudra's POV:
I ran like mad until I was pulled into the jungle by those goons. Clutching the sword in my hand I ran fearlessly through the jungle still behind the horse. I could hear her cries which pierced through my heart like daggers.
Just then the horse stopped. The rest of the dacoits had already proceeded but the one with Jaanvi paused and got down. He looked around. I immediately his behind a nearby tree. He hadn't realised my presence. I slowly sent towards him making the least noise possible. He pulled Jaanvi down the horse and threw her to the ground. I could feel the blood in my veins boil. Definitely not because I loved her, because she was my property.
I looked at the horse from behind the tree. His gun was tied to it. He begun with his job of opening Jaanvi's gold jewellery as she wailed and hit him but he didn't move. Enough of it.. I slowly walked up to them. Jaanvi noticed me standing right behind him as I signalled her to keep quiet.
He felt my presence and turned. The moment he turned I plunged my sword through him as he wailed in pain. Jaanvi immediately stood up and rushed towards me. I pulled the sword out of his body as his lifeless body laid on the grass with blood all around.
" He.. He's dead..?", Jaanvi asked in a very frightened voice.
" Precisely. ", I replied before bending down and picking up Jaanvi's jewellery.
" Now what do we do?", she asked sounding utterly scared.
" Don't worry. In any case police was behind them so its okay.", I replied shoving off some dust from the necklace.
" By the way, where are we?", she asked.
I realised that she was correct. I really had no idea where we were. I turned around to find only trees. No other human stood in the deep jungle except me and Jaanvi.
I gulped nervously.
" Are we lost?", she asked.
" Exactly. We are lost.", I said looking around frantically, just in case any human being appeared from behind the trees.
" I think we should go that way.. Maybe we get out of here. ", she said and I definitely didn't have another choice instead of listening to her. I had no idea till where I had come running behind the horse.
I let her walk in front of me as I followed. It was afternoon as both of us decided to rest.
" I need water..", she said as she sat beside me under a tree.
" So do I. ", I said feeling extremely thirsty, after all I had ran so hard behind the horse.
" Why did you come behind me?", she asked in a tired voice.
I turned towards her.
She was looking at me in anticipation of an answer. I replied,
" Because I wouldn't like anybody else touching my property.", I said trying hard to sound rigid but somehow I couldn't.
She slowly held my hand and said,
" Or do you think love isn't that bad?", she said. I had turned away my face and didn't feel the need of answering the question.
" Get up.. Enough of rest. We need to get out if here..!", I said as I immediately stood up before I would melt.
I think somehow my melting point had become low.. Or was she that hot.. Wait what am I speaking about?
I immediately stopped my thoughts as she stood up and we walked deeper into the jungle.
I don't think life could be any worse than getting lost with her in a deep jungle..
