Prologue: Sobbings were heard from downstairs, my grip was hard on my brother's t-shirt, and all the yellings caused us to cry louder. "Are we going to be ok?" my brother asked, I can see the fear in his small eyes. "Yes, we are going to be ok," I lied because I am not sure if we are going to be ok after this. "Dad is going to fix this, hopefully." "Promise?" He looked up at me. "Promise." ** "How are you going to fix this?" I asked my father following him wherever he goes. At that moment, we were in the kitchen with my mother arguing about what happened last night. We had some people robbing us and holding a gun to my parents' head. "I am still thinking," My dad murmured as he took his keys from the table, and walking out of the house. "It happens every night, aren't you afraid that they will harm any of us?" I frowned. "The only way to fix this is asking what they want in return," my mom sighed. "Now, we want to talk about your boyfriend." "Caden? What about him?" I raised an eyebrow. "When is he going to pop the question?" She bit her lips. "If he did, you are going to be able to leave this mess and take your brother with you." "And leave you and dad to deal with this? I don't get it, why don't you call the cops on them?" I groaned. Mom looked at me, "they're a gang, so maybe if we snitched on them; they will hurt us for sure," mom replied. "Showing them that we are p*****s? You never raised us this way!" I exclaimed. "Honey, don't act like this, we are going to find other ways to get rid of them," mom explained.
