“Teiko, it’s all done. The potions that you requested are ready,” Mia said.
“Thank you so much, Mia. Can we have an itinerary of how many of each potion we have?” Teiko said.
“Okay, since I’m only limited to five days to complete all of this. We’re also limited by the materials but thank you for helping me gather many materials,” Mia said.
Mia holds a piece of paper that writes how many potions are there.
“Antidote potion for curing poison, wound-cleaning potion for curing bleeding, warming potion to cure freezing, awakening potion for sleepiness and drowsiness, anti paralysis to cure paralyzation, full heal potion that function just like Saki-chan’s Greater Healing and finally, the ender potion that function just like the Greater Salvation. I procured five for each aside from the ender potion that I could only create two due to limited resources,” Mia said.
“Thank you so much, Mia. By the way, I have another thing to say,” Teiko said.
“What is it, Teiko?” Mia asked.
“Do you want to join our party on the journey to the abysmal territory?” Teiko asked.
“Really?! You wanted me to join?” Mia exclaimed.
“Yes? With that, you can create potions while we are travelling and you can spend more time with Saki,” Teiko said.
“I really like to go, but I don’t think it’s a good idea?” Mia said.
“Why?” Saki asked.
“This village would lose their alchemist and there’s no other people that can cure and heal others. Some children here are also interested in learning so I have to guide them, and also, the life of a beast is much longer than human beings, it’s too early for me to go for a journey and I know there’s someone here who’s more willing to go with you,” Mia said.
“I see, then we’re going to go now. After we fetch up the clothes that Auntie Cecilia made, we’ll venture out. We already bid our farewell to everyone, so this will be the last time we'll see each other for a long period of time,” Teiko said.
“Goodbye, Mia!” Saki said.
“Farewell and take care, Saki-chan,” Mia said.
They went to the house of Cecilia and they are already waiting for them there.
“Teiko, Silica wanted to talk with you,” Cecilia said with a smile on her face.
Teiko looks at Silica, who is very nervous.
“Teiko, I know we only met for just six days but I hope that took interest in me, I mean, in my skill. I learned weaving and tailoring skills from my mother and I know that I will become good at it. So, I wanted to join you in your journey. Can you be generous and let me join?!” Silica said in a determined voice.
“Yes, I’m just waiting for you to say it,” Teiko said.
Silica takes a deep breath, runs toward Teiko and hugs him.
“Really?! You’re just accepting me like that, I’ve practiced night and night how to say it. I’m glad that it turned out like this,” Silica cried out.
“Teiko?” Cecilia said while glaring at Teiko.
“Uhm, y-yes Auntie?” Teiko stuttered.
Cecilia changes her glare into a smile. She said, “Take care of my daughter, she’s precious and pure. I hope all of you can enjoy the journey that you’ll be having.”
Everyone nodded.
They departed the village in the morning.
“Is it not difficult for you to carry your bow and arrows all the time, Silica?” Akeiko asked.
“It’s fine, it’s not that heavy so I can carry something like this,” Silica replied.
Teiko looks at the large bow at Silica’s back. He said, “Maybe we should create another Dimensional Storage for her.”
“Hmm, we’re just lucky when we created yours but I don’t think we’ll run to an alpha wolf with golden fang and another leaf of yggdrasil,” Saki replied.
“Don’t worry about me, I don’t have many things to store anyway. My things are already in Akeiko’s inventory and I want to carry the bow and arrows with me so I can fight even if we encounter monsters unexpectedly,” Silica replied.
“Oh! If that’s the case, then we can create a smaller version of the dimensional storage. An inventory that only limits weapons and ammunition like arrows. The materials are easier to find, just sharp fangs from any wild animals or beasts and the sacred crystals, either emerald, sapphire or ruby,” Saki said.
“Really, there’s something like that? We already have fangs from the savage bear so we only need the sacred crystals,” Teiko said.
“Yup! Then it’s time to explore the underground cave nearby, the Cave of Arsfyrdyr!” Saki said.
“Let’s go!” Akeiko and Silica shouted.
Teiko’s party enters a cave that has a big entrance.
“Wow, this is different to what I expected,” Teiko said.
“Of course! This is not a normal cave, there are a lot of crystals here,” Saki said.
“Are these crystals not useful to us? They have a glass like feature and it’s enlightening the whole cave,” Akeiko asked.
“It’s only purpose is to give light to the area. You can’t even gather them since they disintegrate once you bring them out of this cave,” Saki replied.
“I see, and we don’t even have to bring one with us throughout the cave since the surroundings are very bright already,” Teiko said.
“But all of you should be careful since it’s the most dangerous cave outside the abysmal territory,” Saki said.
Three were shocked by the news that Saki gave.
“Wait, wait. If it’s the most dangerous then why did we go to this place? We should have found another cave system,” Teiko said.
“It’s the easiest way to find sacred crystals and we’ll also have to go here if you want to go faster to the Mountain Hamori. Unless you wanted a four months detour,” Saki said.
“I see, so we have no other choice, huh? Seeing this scenery is still worth it. How strong are the monsters here?” Akeiko asked.
“This cave is separated into three levels, the first one is here where we are. Monsters such as king scorpions, death salamanders, vile centipedes, giant spiders and monster bats live on this level. They are big and very aggressive compared to the original animal they are referred to, but they would not be a problem to you if you survive the Savage Bears’ attack,” Saki explained.
“That explains why there are five scorpions that are almost the same height as us,” Teiko said.
“As usual, I wouldn’t interfere during battles so I’ll just cheer all of you from the sides,” Saki said.
The five king scorpion approaches them.
“So do we divide our enemies into the three of us or do we fight as a team?” Akeiko asked.
“The three of us have different specialties so let’s deal with them as a team every time,” Teiko said.
