Rose's POV
Looking up at Liam, he had this broad smile on his face as he just stared at me with an unreadable expression.
“You are one hell of an enigma and can I say that you are so beautiful too," he whispered, as he moved closer to me.
Unsure of how to react, I took a step back and smiled shyly, looking away for a bit.
“Thank you, Liam," I lifted my eyes to meet his.
“But I should get back to my friend now, it was nice meeting you," I said, taking a few steps back as I turned around about to walk away from him.
“Tyler wait," his calm voice stopped me immediately in my tracks and soon enough he was in front of me.
“Can I be so bold as to ask for your phone," he let out, smirking.
“What?" I asked, confused.
“Can I just have your phone for a minute..." he asked.
“And why should I do that?' I asked.
“I promise it will only be for a few minutes," he said, smiling.
Nodding my head, still confused, I reached down into my purse, taking out my phone. I opened it and handed it over to him.
Smiling, he took the phone immediately and he pressed god knows what on it, and soon his phone rang, and he smiled.
“Now I have your number, and you have mine," he chuckled as he handed my phone back to me.
“Really?" I giggled softly, looking down at my phone, unsure why he did such a thing.
“You shouldn't have done that," I said, looking back up at him, but this time he was gone.
Glancing from side to side, I wondered where he must have gone and why he should disappear just like that.
But in the middle of my search, Eve walked up to me.
“Hey, hope you are having fun," she asked, bringing my attention back to her.
“Yes I am, thank you for bringing me along," I smiled, pulling her closer to my side.
“But I'm kind of looking for..." I mumbled as I continued looking from one side to the other.
“Liam Paige? He just left with his guards," Eve let out sarcastically, putting her hands on her waist.
Shocked and confused as to how she knew, I looked at her, searching her face for answers.
“Stop with the looks, Tyler," Eve said, laughing hard now.
“I saw you both on the balcony, all cozy with one another, so are you two going on a date soon," Eve chirped happily.
“Date... Eve hell no, I just met this so-called Liam Paige," I said, rolling my eyes at her.
“Tyler, it doesn't matter. Okay, you need to date and love someone. Remember, since you got to this city you haven't even gone on a single date," Eve said, now sipping on the wine she got from a waiter.
“Love someone," I chuckled at her words as I remembered the man that I once loved who slowly became my worst nightmare.
''My Monster''
''I couldn't risk going down that path again with anyone because I wouldn't know what lay at the end of it all, and I just can't risk it," I said to myself as I looked back at Eve, knowing I had to say something to pacify her.
“I just met this man, so please let me be okay. By the way, he has my number, he will call," I murmured softly.
“Oh, girl... He has your number. Yes, that's great, don't worry he will call you, I know that for sure," She chirped. overly excited about it all.
“Whatever Eve," I said, rolling my eyes at her, as I took her drink from her hand and walked away immediately.
“Come on girl, that is mine," she protested, trailing behind me.
We stayed for a while at the party, talking, drinking, and making new friends. Eve introduced me to some of her work buddies, and they made the night much more fun.
We moved the party to a nearby club, and we had so much fun, doing shot after shot and dancing to the loud music.
I was drunk and totally out of my element, but I didn't care, because at that moment, I felt free from everything, and I mean everything. Even the dreadful thoughts of Keith and the mess that was my life were nowhere to be found in my head, as I danced nonstop to the beat.
Feeling excited and oblivious to everything around me, I continued moving my hips to the music, as I closed my eyes, drowning further in a sea of ecstasy until I felt it. The hand on my waist pulled me back to a strong and hard muscular chest and his hot breath came to play so freely on my neck which sent shivers down my body.
I was so scared because of the intimidating aura radiating from him, but at the same time, I was so allured by the touch of this stranger.
I was so consumed with his touch as his left hand made its way down my body and then the other explored the side of my hip.
My heart was beating like crazy, but I couldn't get enough of his touch. I needed to see him, I needed to see the face of this person who had me so scared but yet so fired up.
But as I was about to turn around, the stranger let go of me, and soon he was gone.
I followed his back, desperate to find him, but he was just like the wind, gone in the blink of an eye.
Maybe it is my mind was just playing tricks on me, or maybe I'm so drunk that I'm now imagining and feeling things," I said to myself as I shook the thought away from my head, walking over to join the others.
(*)
Waking up with a horrible hangover was the worst feeling ever, and it was all new to me because drinking or getting drunk was never something I normally do.
Keith would never let me drink to the extent I was drunk, as he normally says, that getting drunk was never ladylike.
Walking over into the kitchen, I saw Eve making something to eat as she looked great and not hungover at all.
“Eve... weren't you at the club as well," I asked, sitting on the kitchen stool, as I looked up at her, and she was just smiling.
“Oh, my baby, you are so hungover," she said, handing me a cup of coffee.
“Drink... it would help you feel better," she smirked as I sipped the coffee.
“Eve, you haven't answered my question," I said.
“Oh that," she laughed.
“If you must know, I don't get drunk, I have a very high tolerance for alcohol,' she winked at me.
“Damn it... That's not fair, I'm suffering here, and you are living the life,' I rolled my eyes at her, and she laughed.
“Eat something that would also help," she said, placing a plate in front of me.
“Thank you, at least you are taking good care of me," I smiled as I started nibbling down on the food she had prepared and also sipping on my coffee.
A few moments later, my phone rang showing an unknown call coming in.
“Hey... Hello," I muttered softly, answering the call.
“Hey Tyler, it's Liam," the male voice said.
“As in Liam Paige," I asked and immediately Eve rushed to my side.
“The one and only," he said.
“Oh hey, how are you," I asked.
“Much better now that I have heard your voice," he said softly, and I could also feel him smirk from the phone.
“So I was thinking, how about we have lunch on Saturday? I am currently out of town, but I will be back soon, and I want you to be the first person I see," he asked.
“Lunch..." I murmured so unsurely about it, but Eve, on the other hand, was signaling me to go for it as her face lit up when she heard it.
''I don't think I can make it," I explained, trying to make an excuse not to go.
“Please, Tyler, don't say no," he pleaded.
But before I could dish out another excuse, Eve grabbed the phone from my hand.
“Hey, it's Eve speaking, don't you worry Tyler will be there, you just have to text her the time and the place.
“Okay bye, for now, Liam," she chuckled, cutting off the phone and handing it back to me, leaving me shocked beyond words.
