Meanwhile, at Georgina Harris’ house in Kansas City, a messenger had brought letters for Gloria and Barton. They had both changed their address at the school to Georgina’s house because they were going to be staying there to attend classes. Georgina called Gloria to let her know she and Barton had mail.
“Hello,” said Gloria. She was taking a break at the clinic, and she and Barton were outside enjoying the nice day.
“Hi,” said Georgina. “You and Barton have letters from the Governor’s Committee for Continuing Education.”
“Can you open mine and tell me what it says?” asked Gloria.
“Hold on a minute,” said Georgina. She opened the letter and started reading. She gasped.
“What is it?” asked Gloria. She looked at Barton, who was listening and wondering what was going on.
