Melody She curled up in bed as she waited for Denys to return. It was a normal way to communicate for him, nothing special. For her it was the first way of actually being heard in twelve years. Eventually he stumbled in, and grinned at her. “My Mel” He said. She didn’t mean to, she really didn’t but she leapt up and into his arms. He barely had a moment but he managed to catch her. He laughed and kissed her nose. ‘I want you to hear me.’ She told him mentally. Denys chuckled. “Then it is good that I can, isn’t it?” ‘Not everything in my head is always good, and I don’t want you to see my nightmares.’ Denys hugged her tightly. “What are you scared of Melody?” Melody kissed him in return. She was celebrating, and didn’t want it ruined. She wriggled out of his arms. Denys let her go without questioning, so she pushed him backwards onto the bed.   Denys They returned home and were met by Saera and Loren. He watched as Saera took Melody’s hand to admire the ring on her finger. He knew that Saera was a good friend for Melody to have and bit by bit she was meeting everyone in the pack. And the pack loved her. They had accepted the little mute cat that he adored. If they hadn’t then they would have had a problem. “You seem different.” Loren commented, helping Denys with the bags. “We mated.” Denys answered. Loren’s eyes immediately moved to the small white mark on his neck. “And, how did that go… Her being a different species and all?” “I heard her Loren. She spoke to me.” “She speaks?” “No… She… We… I guess we mindlinked.” “What does she sound like?” Denys took a moment to think. “Musical, she has a soft accent but I cant place it. She is sweet and soft.” “I swear, if I hadn’t known you your whole life that I would be worried about you. I have never seen you so in love with anyone before. Except maybe Kate.” Denys growled softly at that. “Do not mention her. With Melody it is different, I feel it in every fibre of my being.”   Melody Saera was planning a party to celebrate the engagement. Melody twisted the ring on her finger. One part of her had hoped that she and Denys would have been able to get married quietly. But that was the problem with agreeing to marry the most powerful alpha in the area. Eventually Saera and Loren left them alone and Denys draped an arm around her shoulders. He kissed her forehead. “You seemed happy.” ‘Saera is planning multiple parties’ Melody warned him with a smile. She kissed his cheek and wrinkled her nose. ‘You need to shave.’ Denys laughed. “Don’t you like my beard?” She shook her head. ‘Scratchy’ “Well… We cant have that can we? We cant have my Melody be unhappy.” She shot him a smile and he grinned back, then laid back on the sofa.   Denys He didn’t mean to nap. He really didn’t. But the sofa was so so comfortable. It was dark when he woke up, and Melody wasn’t there. He could hear the shower though and took a wild guess at her location. He must have made a noise because he heard her soft voice in his head. ‘Come join me if you want.’ He glanced upstairs and smiled. It took him moments to strip completely and join his little mate in the hot water. She turned immediately to face him, and he pushed her wet curls back off of her face. “I love you Melody.” He said, as he lifted her up. He pushed her back against the wall and smiled as her legs wrapped around his torso. Her mouth crashed against his. He slipped inside of her and groaned against her mouth. She felt so good against him and Melody obviously felt the same, her kiss became more demanding and she started to move against his c**k. It didn’t take long for either of them to release, Melody kept him trapped in her legs and chuckled when he tried to move. He growled playfully at her, holding her close as he managed to get out of the shower, and carried her to the bed. If this was a dream, he didn’t want to wake up.
