We have been walking for hours towards the city. I was extremely tired and so was Anna but we kept going. There was nothing around us. The only thing that pushed us to keep going was the faraway city that kept getting bigger in front of us. I knew that it would be big as it was noticeable from afar but it was truly tremendous.
I looked over my shoulder at Anna who was barely walking anymore. You could read the word fatigue clearly on her face but that did not stop her face from instantly lit up when she realized that we were near Pi-Ramesses.
