1 Castle in the woods
Jenn's grandparents had built the cabin back in the 60s. it had four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a spacious main room. Which included the kitchen and dining area a huge fireplace and large sitting area. it was situated in the woods next to a river. Every year until Jenn married her ex, her whole family would gather there for a week or the whole summer. Cousins aunts uncles coming and going all summer. Even after both of her grandparents passed they would all find their way there. but now most of her aunts and uncles were gone, along with some of her cousins. Both of her parents had passed too. Some family had moved away so Jenn had gotten the cabin with a promise that all were still welcome to come The cabin was about 40 minutes out side of town. The little town had maybe five hundred people living in and around it. it had everything you would expect in a small town. Town hall, church, school, hardware store, two restaurants (Italian and home style cooking), bar, grocery store, clinic and a few other stores. A small town with mountains and trees as far as you could see. Jenn wanted to modernize and add a few rooms to the 60 year old cabin. She tried to find a contractor that would do the work, but most turned her down. The cabin was to remote to bring in a professional contractor. So she call the hardware store to see if anyone locally could do the work she needed. Jenn called the number she got from city hall. thats right it wasn't even listed on line. No web sight no information just her memory of going there as a child. The phone rang a few times, when she heard a voice that could curl your toes. There was no way a voice like that belonged to any man that was not drop dead gorgeous. A deep light filled voice with a slight growl. Zackary or Zack, sounded like a man's man but with the politeness of a small. Jackson, Zack's younger brother had a smoother voice but just as deep. Jenn would call to check and see how things were going. Five minutes into the conversation she would totally forget why she had called. A few times she had to call back embarrassed that she had forgotten to do so. Four months of phone calls and enough flirting to last a lifetime. Was Jackson standing there when Zack was flirting like a feand, and vice-versa? Zack had a voice that would invaded Jenn's dreams. A faceless hard body that would wake her up sweaty and oh so turned on. Jackson (Jack for short) was just sweet as honey. he was more chatty and funny as hell. Jackson was someone you could curl up on a couch with and just talk with all night. Well maybe not just talk. How did they feel about the whole thing? Maybe Jenn was over thinking it. But the more time that passed the more she couldn't stop thinking about those sexy voices on the other end of the line. some of her dreams would include them both. Where those dreams came from Jenn had no idea. But the sleeping dreams soon became day dreams. Kissing one then the other. Four hands two mouths skimming over her body. Being f**k by one then the other. Powerful thrusts making her call out their names. Begging them for more and more. Wow, what could she say, she had a great imagination. Zack had volunteered his brother and himself to do the some of the work. They could handle the plumbing, flooring, windows, tiling and electrical work. Install all the new appliances that Jenn picked out. the store was closed Sundays and Mondays. So they would do the work then. Jenn had joked with Zack. Jenn: I can't have you working on your days off and keep you from your family's. She wouldn't admit it but she was digging for information. there was a pause before Zack responded with a smile in his voice. Zack:Jackson and I only have each other. the both of us are just waiting for the right woman to come to town. Jenn would be lying if that didn't make her panties wet. God help me and give me strength. It had taken a lot of negotiations to get her house sold so she and the girls could stay in it till July. But she needed the cash to do the renovations. it was important to have a place that would be capable to handle the cold winters. Jenn had never been there in the winter. But after seeing the area had below zero temperatures, she know it had to be done. Jenn and the girls had stopped in town to gas up and stop at the grocery store. Just a few blocks down and across main street was the hardware store. It was so tempting to stop in , but Jenn didn't have a good reason to. And with the long drive the girls and her were tired and hungry, she just couldn't. "Soon" Jenn thought she would have to put faces to those gorgeous voices. after all she had to thank them for all their hard work. It would be just rude not to do so, right? Her and the girls wondered the isles getting stuff for hot dogs, hamburgers milk eggs cereal and the like. Jenny had been in the store many time as a child and teen, but it had been awhile so she didn't recognize anyone that worked there. When it was their turn to check out the girls help her to put everything up on the counter. the cashier smiled sweetly at the girls and asked " you girls here camping?" Abigail responded smiling Abigail:no we live here now. Martha:really. The lady looked a little taken aback. Martha:You mean the cabin on Bear River? Emily interrupted Emily: its a castle not a cabin Martha:Well I'm Martha and you are? Abigail: I'm Abigail this my little sister Emily and my mom Jennifer Mcgee. Martha:Well it's very nice to meet you all and welcome to town. Martha packed up the few bags and Jenn paid, but on the way out Abigail paused and asked Abigail:Are there bears living around Bear River?" Martha smiled just a little but with a serious voice said Martha: just a few. Jenn had not yet seen all the renovations she had done. it took a lot long to have everything done to update the place and make it livable all year round. lots and lots of phone calls to explain what she wanted done. Ok so she had developed a small crush on those men on the other end of the line. emily:Is it really a castle? Came the sweet little voice from the backseat. Jenn: we are going to pretend it is. Jenn replied as she stole a look in the rear view mirror. Her eight year old rolled her eyes at her little sister. The truck and the trailer bounced through another cluster of potholes in the dirt road. Jenn grabbed a hold of the paper coffee cup to keep it from spilling all over. And the girls bounced happily in the back. The oldest Abigail was excited but tried to hide it. Emily, four and a half was giggling uncontrollably. The girls had never been to the family cabin. but Jenn hoped they would love it as much as she had as a child. A little further down the road was the first one lane bridge. At the end the road split in opposite directions. Just up the hill to the left and through the trees she could see a cabin. She stopped before making a right turn, looked up at the cabin. "Was that him? Was that Benjamin?" Thats what she imagined he would look like, broad shoulders dark t-shirt jeans medium length beard, dark brown hair. It was hard to make out any details of what he really looked like.. Zack recommended Ben to do the carpentry work. Benjamin would find and cut and fit all the logs needed to in large the cabin. Zack said Ben was the best around. But Jenn got the impression that Zack was not Bens biggest fan. Ben just stood there with is arms crossed over a wide chest. "Why was he looking at me?" Jenn thought. The third voice on the phone. she never called him. He never gave his number to her, but he called her. His voice was deep and rumbled almost like a bear. Their conversations were short and no chit-chat. No hi how are you? Or hows your day? Just a progress report and questions about the layout and details. Jenn had sent basic sketches of what she wanted added to the cabin and small barn. Benjamin didn't necessarily complain, but always seem irritated by the instructions she gave him. when their calls ended she aways felt a mix of emotions. She was irritated but strangely her body had a different response. Like a vibration down her spine that went straight to her core. and now with him looking at her, it felt like his eyes were burning right through her. A chill ran right down Jenn's spine. Abigail:Are we lost? Jenn: Abby, mommy was just looking around. We are almost there, maybe five minutes.Ok sweet heart? Jenn looked back at the girls and smiled. She glanced back at the cabin but Benjamin was gone.
