Edward looked around taking a scan of the room quickly then nodded towards the elders and security taking a step forward as seized this moment to send the rest of the pack members away, with a another nod toward the security in charged a bulk man stepped up, and spoke "Ladies and gentleman we have announcement from the Alpha himself." Edward was still the Alpha seeing his son hadn't taken the vows though he had stepped down officially with the interruption of the long lost presumably dead sibling of Danica.
"Ladies and Gentlemen it had been a pleasure you could join us tonight, though things haven't gone as plan, now the matter at hand is being dealt with, I ask you all if you could leave for tonight has been wonderful and the matter at hand is far too important to leave to rest for now, I wish you a wonderful night and bid you good night, thank you."
The crowd began to make their exit; it was nothing everyone had expected it to be like. The expectation of a party to remember was gone, out the window though trouble was brewing now. They could all sense it in the air, the coming of a storm.
Once the last person had exited and the remainder of the members who lived in the house went back to their usual business, Edward led the group to his office, with their new trespassing guest following behind with the Elder Council hot on their trail. They went down the stone staircase, into the conference room where Edward had interrogated his daughter and Mason earlier.
Edward took a seat at the head of the table; next to him was his son, their mates hovering behind their chairs. The Elders took their usual seat without a fuss. Danica hovered not knowing exactly where to stand then decided to stay put where to she is a feet away from the wolf she met in the meadow.
"I have returned and I would like what is mine." He stated calmly, seeing as no one was willing to break the silence that had fallen amongst them.
"What?" A member from the council spoke up, everyone turned to him, and he clearly wasn't around long enough to know who stood here in front of him, who the man in the tux was.
"You don’t know who I am, do you?" He spoke up as his blue hypnotic eyes narrowed toward the man who began to squirm in his seat becoming uncomfortable under his gaze. "You wouldn't be speaking if you did, you must be new, come along after the reformation after Mr. Anderson had taken over?"
Edward starred in disbelief at the man standing in front of him right now, the tone of his voice familiar than ever, that had haunted his dreams, hunted him down making him promise to look after his daughter, every night for six months straight not a night missed. He couldn't believe it he held onto his wife for support, his mind must be playing tricks this man couldn't be standing in front of him, he's dead, he was buried along with his son, but how it could be, and Edward couldn't come to comprehend. Let going of his wife, Edward got up from his seat, taking a step forward, eying the man unsure. "Michael is that you?" Edward asked. "Michael Nicholas Raul," at the mention of the full name the crowd began to murmur. "How can it be after all these years?" Edward’s voice cracked, it held so much raw emotion seeing the man in front of him.
Danica looked between her father and the man in the middle of the room, she knew it was who her dad thought it was in fact it was his blood and flesh. She could see the emotion in her father's eyes and hear it in his voice.
The man shook his head, dismissing the idea as fast as it came. The young man looked torn trying to figure out how to say it. "I am not the man you call me, he is in fact my father."
"Alex?" Danica asked grabbing everybody's attention; he looked at her in surprise. "Alex!" She closed the space between them, hugging him for the first time in many years. Her hunch had been right after all. "I-I thought you were dead with mum and dad. They-They couldn't find your body after the attack." Danica spoke into his chest. "You're alive."
Edward’s eyes widen as well as the rest, surprised and shocked, he had a hint who this doppelganger was, the spitting image of his father with the trade make eyes that ran through the originals. More importantly he was also surprised at the words that came out of Danica's mouth, she knew who he was? She was only a child, she cannot remember but she does. She knew that she was taken in but the history of her real family the parental mother and father had always remained in the dark nonetheless, she knew who her real parents were but it was never a subject that had been discussed openly, but she had managed to figure it out.
"Danica," her father asked softly. "You know who this man is?"
Danica pulled away from her brother, wiping her tears that had managed to spill over, she looked at her parents the ones that had taken her in raised her as their own. She nodded, "he's Alex," she whispered in a timid voice. Her voice held so much love towards him that made, Chris wince in his seat, it hadn't gone unnoticed the love for him was there as well as Chris.
"I'm Alexander Raul." He spoke gaining everybody's undivided attention, the man who had spoken earlier his mouth hung open, Alex smirked at their reaction, seeing they know very well who he is, naturally this made it easier for him.
Time had frozen; never had it crossed their minds that this day would ever come. Heck, he was dead.
"That explains why he could speak using the packs mind link." One of the council members spoke up. "He hadn't left the pack, the connection still flows through his bloodline as he is the original Alpha."
"Then that means...." Another member spoke up, his eyes darting between the two Raul siblings. "She's the lost baby." He spoke ever so slowly, his eyes filled with dread and horror as he realised who she really was, after consistent bullying she had received.
"The lost baby," Danica echoed, having no clue what was going on, except that her dead brother was in fact very much alive and standing here claiming his title.
Edward shook his head, burying his head in his hands he mumbled, "This isn't how she finds out." Taking his head out of his hand he announces. "Take a seat it's going to take a while."
Danica takes an empty seat next to Avery who sat next to Chris and opposite him was their mother. Alex sat next to his sister very much aware of the look of awe and guilt him and his sister were receiving, which stirred the unasked questions within him wondering why these people here look guilty.
"It’s also known as the Lost Child." The head of the Elder council spoke, hoping that Danica would remember something about the stories that went around the pack, mostly ghost stories to get the children to behave. Seeing the blank expression on her face he continued. "The lost baby is the second child of Michael and Elizabeth Raul, to be specific a daughter. Who was supposedly lost after the attack on the pack and your parents were killed. During the reformation, word got around as the child hadn't been found we would've assumed the child was dead but being a Raul you can tell when one has passed away. The rumour had gotten around and throughout the years stories have developed as they hadn't found the child which is you. The Anderson's knew who you are and raised you as their own. Your survival was kept a secret for the safety of the pack and yourself this was done because the attack had one purpose and aim and that was to get rid of the Raul's to kill the line off." He paused to catch his breath, getting the warning look that Edward had been sending him. He smiled, "I'm getting off track, anyways, your survival was kept quiet and the pack just assumed that you are an Anderson, though your name begs to differ. You are the lost child."
Danica nodded taking it all in, her question hadn't been useless, and it had been answered but left her with other unasked unanswered questions that are swimming around in her head, now. "I don't want anything about me going out." She said in a firm voice that left no room for arguments as she looked everyone in the eye as she spoke. "I want to remain within the pack as Danica Anderson not Raul, because everything will change and I cannot handle kiss ass's like my brother gets already." She gestured towards Chris.
"What do you mean?" Alex asked, Danica unaware of her situations she has been in, in the past.
"Oh don't worry," she patted his arm. "You sure will find out soon enough."
Edward stood up, "I want to ensure that you all, know to keep the findings of today's events a secret until due time, you are dismissed." The door opened and a guard appeared at the doorway, leaning the council members away. Edward took his seat with the family at the table now.
Alex looked between the Anderson, trying to figure out that something that was missing, the nagging at the back of his head was becoming too hard to ignore, and he had figured who they were.
"Alex," Edward called bringing him back from his deep thoughts. "I don't know if you remember or not, I'm Edward, my wife Christie, my son Chris and his mate Avery." Alex nodded taking it in, then it hit him realising the missing piece.
"Where's Will?" Alex asked a little hopeful and excited to seeing him his friend he had surely missed throughout the years away.
At the mention of the name the Anderson's eye's filled with sorrow, to the loss of their son. "He-He didn't make it." Christine choked out, her eyes shiny with unshed tears.
"W – What?" Alex choked out, he hadn't expected this, his best friend gone, and he was like a brother to him. "He's my Beta, my second in command it was done and said from the minute we were born." Alex argued.
"Alex, calm down." Danica said in a soothing voice, unsure whether it was helping her brother. "Chris is your second in command, you know how this works."
Her family as well as the council members starred at her, she had never paid much attention in the meetings even if she attended them.
It has been two weeks since Alex step foot back into the pack. He had been learning his way around the area, getting to know everyone. He was ultimately the Alpha but hadn't been made official yet. Tonight the ceremony was going to happen; he was going to take over.
Word had gotten out as to who the stranger was that ruined Chris's big ceremony, the pack was in awe as the realisation hit them, but Danica had still remained a secret which bugged him as he couldn't figure out why she'd like to keep it a secret.
The ceremony had gone differently from the first when Chris was about to take over, the dress code was still the same, suit and tie with the females in dresses.
Ed stood in front of the pack, taking a deep breath and spoke, still not believing it trying to get his head around the situation at hand was difficult it was almost as Alex was back from the dead. He had his own grave with his tombstone which was visited annually.
"Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls of the Blue Moon pack I am proud to stand in front of and introduce to you the new Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, the rightful Alpha has returned after years, following the steps of his father I present to you Alexander Michael Raul son of Michael Nikolas Raul and Elizabeth Marie Raul descendents of the founders of the Blue Moon pack, the blood Alpha has returned." Ed announced, doing the honours. "Ladies and Gentlemen under this full moon I present to you, your Alpha, Alpha Alexander Michael Raul."
He stepped back next to wife and kids while Alex took his spot on the stage, in view of everyone. He took in his pack taking in all the faces. He shifted into his wolf a salt and pepper coloured wolf stood in front of the pack, his take was all black fading towards the tip, where it became lighter until it was a greyish blue.
One by one the members of the pack shifted, and howled into the night, accepting the new Alpha as theirs with the full moon as their witness.
