3. The Royals are here! The Royals are here!!

Karmin's POV

I pick up the pace and make it to our boundary gate within 5 minutes. I nod a hello to the guards at the entrance and I sit waiting for the car to arrive. It might have been quick getting here but going back will take a little longer... I told my Delta to give them the short version of the tour I'll be giving tomorrow, you know just pointing out some important things along the way. With in minutes the cars start to pull up with the Royals in front. I stand to my full height with my head raised high.

I make eye contact with both the King and Queen and I bow. I take my time knowing full well that neither of them have ever seen a white wolf let along someone with my eye colour. I straighten up and turn, I know that as soon as I start to walk off the car will follow. I start to slowly pick up the pace so that the trip back to our pack house will only take 15mins and not hours to get back to the old pack house.

As I walk I can hear my Delta pointing out all the places that they will be visiting tomorrow. The truth is our territory is beyond beautiful. It gives the best of what South Africa had to offer and the view of the ocean can make one speechless. I know wolves are meant to love the forest but for us the mountains are really where we call home. As we pass through the secondary gate I mindlike Hailey and Liam that we are only 5mins away. I can tell Hailey is excited, she loved going to the palace as much as I did and grew to love the King and Queen beyond what a loyal subject would. That was the thing about the King and Queen they made you feel like you were one of their own pups

As we started to near the Bay Moon Mansion, I pick up my pace a little so that I can shift and wait for the car to stop. As I get closer I shift from my beautiful white wolf to the petite woman that I am and turn to welcome our honored guests. As I stand there I can see the utter shock on both of their faces. Never has anyone shifted and have their clothes just fall perfectly into place... I guess it is one benefit about being the white wolf... No shredded clothes or messed up hair. I watch as the King and Queen get out of their car... " how on earth did you just shift without damaging any of your clothes" the queen asks with wide eyes.. "My love not now. we are here for a week I am sure Alpha Karmin will explain everything to us in due time... Now let me look at you. Wow. You really have grown into a beautiful woman don't you think my love? " "Aaah yes you have, you look just like your mother" the Queen tells me with tears in her eyes. Ever since my parents died, the King and Queen have taken a more vested interest in me, and when the challenge with my ex mate went down and it came out I had won, well they have been trying to find an excuse to come here and talk about it.

I had managed to dodge this very visit for almost a year but when the soon to be King decided that the new Klienbay Pack will be hosting the annual Alpha meeting, I couldn't keep making excuses as they would need to see that we were able, up and running to be able to have that many guests. I smile "Thank you so much for your kind words your Majesty" "Majesty?! Really Karmin how many times must we tell you that you three can call us by out names?! " hehe I think that will be the last time aunty Liz" I say as I go to give her a big hug. " You remember my Beta Hailey and my Gamma Liam? anuty Liz and uncle Dan?"

"But of course! Look at you all of you have grown into such amazing adults. Liam I'm so glad that you had accepted the role of Gamma of the this new pack. Your parents and former Alpha would be so proud of you" the Queen said. I looked at my Gamma and saw how glossy his eyes look just at the mention of his parents and former Alpha. The truth was that Liam has come from a long line of strong Gammas from the Klienmont pack. He loved his pack and his former Alpha and Luna and was one of my ex mates best friends. He was close to the Luna she become like a mother to him after his mother was killed in a rogue attack about 10 years ago now, so when he found out what happened that day.. it changed everything for him.

I give him a smile. "Thank you so much anuty Liz. I really do appreciate those words" "And Hailey my sweet look at you. So beautiful. This pack is definitely going to have some good looking pups in the future" I tried so hard not to laugh as I looked at Hailey's redding face. She hated it when people only liked at her beauty and to be honest we have been around the King and Queen long enough for them both to know this. I giggled. I couldn't help myself any longer. "oh come now Hailey you know aunt Liz is just joking with you. We all know that no man will ever get close enough for you to get pregnant" I say with a bright smile. I can't help it. we have all been so stressed about this, making sure to show them that we are all adults and no longer kids, but hey when the Queen teases Hailey I just can't stop myself. Hailey growls and mind links me that she is going to kill me later.

I laugh. " Uncle, Aunty please follow me. I would like to show you around the mansion while our omegas set out a light lunch. I thought maybe after lunch you would like to rest and then later we can take a tour of the Klienmont mansion as well as the new Klienbay Pack house. I thought we could then have tea and I will explain everything starting with me being the white wolf and then we can talk about what happened since my parents deaths if that's all ok with you?" " Sounds perfect to me my dear I've been dying to see what you have done with your mom and my old pack house." My heart always does a little flip when she mentions my mother.. Its been like this since the day she and my dad died. I smile and motion for them to follow me into the mansion. " As you could see from out side we have added 3 more stories so that we now have six stories above the ground floor.

We modeled the ground floor after the palace as this is meant to feel like a home from home. So you have the kitchen, the formal dining room, the informal dinning room, a lounge and then opposite the drawing room for the ladies we have a cigar room for the men. the first two floors have some bedrooms and small lounges for either your guests or members of the court. Then we have a floor for your Gamma and their family and guests, then the Beta and their family and guests... and then we did something a little different. The 5th floor is the office spaces for both you and the Queen when you are here. Lastly the whole top floor is for your use. Master bedroom suit with a small kitchenette and lounge. I do hope you like it and we can change anything that you would like to."

I could tell that they were taking it all in. The Queen made all the right noises as we walked through the mansion but I so desperately wanted them to love it. I know that they will be spending a lot more time here so I wanted them to feel like home. " There is no doubt that you did an amazing job Alpha. This place is amazing and even more so considering that you have basically built three new huge pack houses. This place dare I say is better than the palace back home, I mean look at the details. The only thing is that this will be the only time we will get to enjoy it as King and Queen." "I'm sorry, what do you mean this is the only time you will get to enjoy it?" Just then an omega came through to let us know lunch was ready... I smiled and thanked her and we followed her through to the informal dinning room for our lunch.

I couldn't help but smile.. My omegas were doing me proud that is for sure. Lunch is served my head omega proudly states. I thank her with a warm smile and watch as the King pulls out his wife's chair.. My heart breaks a little.. a love like that between mates, that should have been me and Nate but I guess Nate had other plans. I smile and take my seat and begin eating the amazing pastries that the cooks had made for us. "These are beyond words!" " I know dare I say my love that these are better than back home?!" "I don't like to brag but my omegas are definitely the best in everything in the world and we have made sure to develop everyone's talents here. I honestly believe that we can't just teach the things that might be important to an ok running of a pack and then ignore all the rest."

"Well it shows Alpha. You indeed should be proud. I know Nicolas is going to be very proud when he comes here for the Alpha meeting... Hopefully he will have some time between his coronation and the meeting so that he can actually spend time to go through everything like he wanted."

I froze. His coronation. That's what they meant by this is the only time they would enjoy this mansion as King and Queen. Which meant that his new Queen would be the one telling me if she wants any changes done.. I can't believe I forgot about it. I mean I knew it was happening but i thought it was going to be after long after the Alpha meeting. Now it made sense why he wasn't here... He was sorting out his coronation and his soon to be new Queen.I tried to swallow the lump that was now in my throat. I felt sick and jealous and the mention of him with someone else. I had always hoped that the Moon Goddess would put us together, but when he turned 18 we both knew that we were just meant to be friends and to be honest it hurt a lot. With out really thinking I placed my hand over my heart and started rubbing the dull ache that seemed to grow with ever I thought of him.

"Yes of course. Hopefully they will both be able to come and we will be able to make any changes that they may need." I was trying to sound up beat when I spoke about him with someone else but for what ever reason I just feel sick. Even when I found out I was mated to Nate, I still would have this sick feeling when ever Nicolas would tell me that there was another ball to search for his mate. I would always be encouraging and enthusiastic about it because honestly it would always sound like it was the last thing he wanted to do.

I was pulled from my thoughts when the Queen got up. "Well lunch was lovely but I am tired as hell. Karmin thank you but I'm going to lie down before dinner. I know that our chat over dinner is going to be long." "That is fine Anuty. Please let me know if there is anything I or any of my pack can do for you." I stood up and gave her a hug. "I think I am going to join you my love." The King smiled and took his wife's hand and they walked up to their suite in the house. Sigh, I guess it won't be theirs for much longer. I sighed at that thought. I looked up and see Hailey and Liam looking at me. "What is there something on my face?" "No there isn't but you look super sad." "I'm ok I promise just thinking about the Alpha meeting. But I think I am going to take a shower and maybe nap myself or at least read... Mindlink me of there is any problems."

"Of course " they both answered.

I thanked the omegas and made my way back to my pack house.
