It had been years, many years, since the Wolf Kingdom had gone to war. There were barely any citizens who had any memory of a time of conflict. Skirmishes, sure, and the usual pack conflicts with Rogues and with each other. But Kingdomwide war was almost unheard of. The Wolf Kingdom was surrounded by human territories, and the conflicts between humans and wolves had been settled long ago. So when King Wallace decided to declare war, he almost didn’t know how to proceed. Sirre Firesell would know, of course, as the King’s right hand man. But he was still conscious.
