Healer Hayrune was hovering over Lyria’s bed, fluttering gently and with care. She was surprised with the gentleness with which he treated her, making sure she always had pain medication and ensuring she was well fed. The pain had receded to a dull throbbing in her leg, much more manageable than it had been a few hours before when she first woke to find herself in the Healer’s workshop. She found her head clearer and calmer, even with the draughts and remedies that the Healer gave her. It gave her time to consider all that she had seen and learned since injuring herself.
“How does it feel?” Healer Hayrune asked her, probing the skin where the break had occurred. She winced as he did so, but was surprised that the pain was not worse.
