Ren “dude you might not have noticed but your nature is drying up and dying,” Cat said “What??” I responded to her weird statement. “yes, your plants are drying up and some are dead already, you are not feeding them as much as you feed yourself…” she added. “I'll feed them fertilizer tomorrow.” I replied. “happy?” “damn.” We were chatting and chatting, it has been almost an hour now. Cat was telling how Josh and her used to fight every time they meet as a kid. But she also told be how much Josh supported her since last year when no one in her family did that. I know Josh is a great guy, he has a heart of gold. He shares his shine with everyone around him. I'm glad to be his friend. And he cooks great too. he told me that he studied French cuisine for five years in Paris. “Hey Ren!!!” I heard Cat calling me. “hmmm….” “what’s that?” she asked. I looked at her looking at me, not me but a little lower than my face, at my neck or maybe chest? “hmmm…” I hummed again but this time it was more in a questioning way. “that ‘round you neck.” She pointed a finger. Josh had a curious expression too. I patted on my chest. My locket? Does she mean that? It’s inside my shirt, how is she seeing it. “what? This?” I asked pulling it out of the shirt in the open. “yeah, it was shining like crazy.” She said. “I thought I saw it wrong. ‘It doesn’t shine that much…. Well, I've never seen it shining from my shirt.’ I thought. “I've never noticed it…” a comment came from Josh. “do you have it on yourself every time?” “yeah, I always wear it?” I said. “since when? How did I never notice it? And it’s big for a guy to wear.” He said again. “It has been many years.” “really I've never seen this though.” “yeah, because it stays under my shirt.” I replied. “it’s very beautiful by the way.” Cat said. “thanks, this belongs to my biological parents. So, I keep it with me.” I told them not thinking much. “biological parents? How many parents do you have?” Cat said. Okay that was insensitive. “yeah, I was adopted when I was very young. This is all that my biological parents left me with at the orphanage.” “oh, I'm sorry. I was rude.” “it’s okay.” I said. “it’s really pretty…” she complimented again. I was putting it back under. I don’t really like it out in the open. But then she said again, “you know what, I think I've seen something like this before.” What? How? “really…?” the words came. “yeah!! I think so. And it’s a strong hunch.” She sounded confident. “wait, is that Moonstone emerald?” she added frowning her eyebrows. What language is this? “it is, I'm pretty sure. I've read about it.” She again said clicking her tongue and nodding. “I don’t know? I haven’t really thought much about it. It’s more like a habit to me now.” “don’t mind her Ren, she has a huge thing for history and mythology.” Josh said. “uh huh.” I nodded. “if it is that, I must be priceless.” “really?” I asked touching it gently. I almost lost it once, I remembered. Although I don’t know much about it, but I know that it has some kind of supernatural powers.
