He tried to control this sudden change in his body. But he can feel that he changed as soon as that locket is separated from him. He snatched back his locket from Kurt's hand and wear it again. The moment he was in contact with that, he against felt normal. He panicked and went out of the store back to his car. Emma followed him back. She was worried about his reaction. He is usually very calm and collected. It was new for her to see him like that.
"Ren, what happened are you okay? Do you feel unwell?" Emma asked him worried.
"I'm fine, I think I should go home," Ren replied.
"Okay wait for me in the car. I'll bring my bag from inside then we will go." Emma said.
"Okay," Ren replied.
Emma went into the shop to get her bag and came out in a few minutes. They took off back to their home.
Ren went straight to his room without anyone noticing him. His mood was bad and he was confused about what happened to him. He was looking at himself in the mirror trying to collect himself. He knew there was something wrote with his locket. He again took it off to see what will happen if he doesn't wear it for a while. He put in on the table near the mirror and was constantly staring at himself. As soon as the locket was out of his contact he again started feeling the same symptoms he felt in the shop. But this time he was looking at himself. After a minute of those shaky symptoms, he started seeing something different in the mirror. His eyes were changing its color. It was becoming more and more fiery yellow. He can see the veins bulging in his forehead.
He got scared to form his reflection and put his locket back on. He couldn't understand what happened to him. He sat back on his bed trying to figure out what was happening to him. But he had no answers to his questions.
He laid back on his bed looking at the ceiling when Eli came into his room he didn't saw her coming. He was totally indulged in his thoughts looking for answers.
"Ren, what are you doing? Get up stop being lazy I have something to show you. Get up." Ren heard her sister talking to him but he wasn't fully aware of his surroundings.
He wanted to tell this to her but he was scared of how she would react. He was puzzled himself about himself what could he even say to her. He just got off of his bed to follow his sister.
She took him to the backyard. It was decorated with fairy lights. It looked beautiful.
"I have a gift for you, close your eyes," Eli said to him and he closed his eyes.
She again said after a few seconds, "now open them", he opened his eyes to see that all his friends and his parents were in front of him. They shouted happy birthday together. He knew every one of them except for a man and a woman. His mother introduced him to them.
"Ren meet Mr. and Mrs. Reeves. They are someone who knew you even before we knew you." His dad was introducing them when Emma came to Ren.
"Hey birthday boy, here Is the gift I promised you." She said handing him a red box.
"Open it", she said again.
Ren opened the box and saw it had the same green emerald stone as his locket.
"The owner said that it is a part of the stone in your locket. It is a part of the same rock." Emma told him.
"Thank you, Emma, I'll keep it forever." She hugged him and then he came back to his room to keep it safe inside his cupboard.
He thought that this might too belong to his biological parents and this stone surely had some weird powers.
He wanted to ask about his life in Japan to the person his parents introduced him to. So he came back to the party only to found them gone. He asked his parents where they went but they said they had something urgent to attend to. They left a gift for Ren. His parents gave it to him. After the party was over Ren came back to his room to open his presents. He was excited to look at the present Reeves left for him.
