"Hey happy birthday man. So where's the party tonight?" Ren's friend Sean hugged him wishing.
"Where ever you say", Ren said in his reply.
"Okay let's think how about the place your parents want? " Sean said.
"Stop it, you know they always throw my birthday party. I know they are arranging for it. I don't know where it is but my sister will invite you."
"Okay let's meet after class, we'll talk then. Bye."
"See ya," Ren said and went for his first class. It was biology his favorite subject and he is never late for that class.

"Hey Ren, happy birthday", Emma said. She and Ren have biology class together. She is one of the popular girls in the school. They were friends and neighbors. She was tall, she had nice features and a beautiful body. Ren had a small crush on her.
"Hey, thank you so much. You are early today. You usually came when the teacher is in the class." Ren replied hugging her.
"I woke up early so. So any plans for today? Or your sister is gonna surprise you?" She asked.
"You will know soon", he replied.
"Have you done the assignment? I am having some trouble. I don't think I can submit it on time." She said nonchalantly.
"I can help you if you want. I am done with mine." Ren told her.
"Really! Thank you so much. I'll buy you a very big birthday present."
The class started. Their topic for today was osmosis. Ren was very much concentrated on what the teacher was explaining, while Emma was being a lazy brat. The class ended after an hour and they parted ways to attend their other classes.
Ren was the shy type. But he had few close friends. He was the scholar of the school. Best in academics, debates, writing. He was every teacher's favorite student.
He was the closest to his younger sister Elizabeth. She was two years younger than him. But she was his partner in crime and the best secret keeper. He was also the best big brother for Elizabeth. He took great care of her. Their parents often go on business trips. so whenever they do, Ren always looks after his sister. They were inseparable together.
Ren knew Eli was secretly calling and texting all his friends for some surprise party with wasn't a surprise for him anymore. His parents always throw a party on his birthday which was supposedly a surprise party. But it wasn't a surprise for him anymore.
After school Ren was going back to home in his new car. The sun was setting and it was getting dark. Ren offered to drop Emma home. She agreed since she wanted to see his new car.
When they took off from school Emma asked him to come with her somewhere. She said it won't take too long. He had no choice but to agree. She took him to a gift shop. That shop was known to have antiques. She wanted to buy a lucky charm for Ren's birthday gift. Emma was a regular there. She often buys presents and charms from there. The owner was her father's friend.
"Hey Kurt", she said to the shop owner.
"Hi, Emma. It's been a long time. You have a company today I see." Kurt asked
"Meet my friend Ren. We are in the same school." Emma introduced them both.
"What should I show you today?" Kurt asked.
"Wait the locket your friend Is wearing, I have a similar one I think. young man, can you show me your locket?
"Yeah sure." Ren takes his locker off of his neck and gives it to Kurt. It was the first time in his life that he took of his locket. He was wearing it for as long as he could remember. He liked wearing it. He knew it belonged to his biological parents. So he kept it close.
As soon as he took off the locket he felt a sudden spike in his adrenaline. His breath hitched and his heartbeat increased. He suddenly started feeling weird. His hand started shaking, his palms were getting sweaty and so was his forehead.
