She took us to a big hall. It had many small and big sized tables for kids. Half of it has a big long wooden table. It was big enough for at least thirty kids to sit and have their meal. Next to it had a similar table but it was for younger kids. The kids were having their breakfast when Ms. Yamazaki introduced us to them. She was speaking in Japanese so I couldn't understand. But when she told them my name I was bored and said hii to them. They were looking at us with an expression with amazing and happy. They were all adorable. Reema said something to them in Japanese, whose meaning she told me was that she told them I and John was her friend. I was a bit awkward but Reema got mixed up with them. She was sitting with some of the kids while I and John were sitting on the corner of the dining table alone. But I was hopeful. That today is gonna be a good day. A day when I can genuinely smile. After the kids had their meal. We started preparing for their checkups. While we were doing that in the medical room, the kids went to wash their hands. Ms. Yamazaki was managing them. While another caretaker of the home was helping us with the medical pieces of equipment that they had. "Sensei can we start sending the kids inside?" Ms. Yamazaki asked. "Yeah, sure", Reema replied. The first who entered was a body, Reema had a clipboard in his hand it had all his details. His name was Hiro he was ten years old. Reema weighted him, measured his height. She then checked his eyes, tongue, and heartbeat. Everything was fine. She then checked his teeth. He was shy when she asked him to open his mouth. I don't know why but when he opened his mouth I understood. He did not have two front teeth that were the reason he was shy. Reema prescribed him to have more calcium. Then the next kid came. He was also the same age as Hiro. Slowly more and more kids came inside and Reema checked them. They had around forty kids there. After she was done checking them, Reema asked Ms. Yamazaki if there is anyone else left. "Ms. Yamazaki, is everyone done for the checking?" "No Sensei, our youngest kid is left. Mai san is bringing him." She said. "How old is he?" I asked curiously. "He is six months old", she replied. Ms. Mai bought a kid in the room. She was holding him in her arms. He was sleeping. "His name is Ren. He is the youngest member who, ever came into the home. He was an infant when he came. He is very special to us." I looked at him and looking at him made me realize what I lost. He was adorable. My eyes became watery looking at his face. He was pitiful and innocent. His parents left him just after he was born. Reena checked on him too. His weight and height were normal. But he still needs more care. He was fragile. He sensed someone is near him so he opened his eyes. His eyes had a weird shine in them. I've never seen anything like this before. Looking at him I realized how special he was. He again closed his eyes. They took him back. I missed seeing him already. But I didn't say anything. Ms. Yamazaki took us to the playing area of the home. The kids were playing since it was Sunday and they don't have school. We played with them for hours. They accepted me and John and played with us. We played handball and baseball with them. I saw some girls were playing house. I actually enjoyed it a lot. Spending time with them was priceless. They were all so adorable. But my mind always goes back to Ren. I wanted to hold him in my arms. But somewhere I was scared that I might breakdown. He reminds me of my Micheal. I don't have the strength to handle it again. Ignoring my heart I went back to Reema home. Somewhere I knew I was restless but I was hiding it. I did not want anyone to notice it.
