MY FRIENDS

Me, Eli, and Sean, we talked for an hour in Eli's room. Mom and dad went back to their room so we came to her room. Although I talked with Sean, I was still skeptical about him but I tried not to be so decisive this time. I somehow convinced myself to give him a chance. Although he didn't talk much, he treated Eli nicely, at least he did it in front of me.

She told me how they met. I know They never talked with each other in school. They knew each other than though. Sean knew she was my sister and for Eli, she was one of my friends. Nothing else they knew about each other. I don't think they even talked.

"We met in a club, a month ago. It was Natalie's birthday so we were celebrating. Sean was a friend of hers. In the beginning, we didn't know about each other, but when I told him my name he knew it was me." Eli said looking at Sean.

"I knew you back in school. You were the prettiest girl in your class. I used to come to your class, but you never looked at me." Sean said it as a reply to Eli.

"You knew me back then?" Eli asked shockingly.

"Yes, I knew you. But I never had the courage to approach you." He answered.

"So, do you think if you would have approached me back then, we would've dated?" Eli asked him.

"Back then, I was a weirdo. I was stupid too. But ever since then, I have always wanted to get to know you, but I knew you wouldn't have ever given me a chance. You were the serious type of girl, good at everything. It was pretty intimidating for me." Sean confessed.

"So, does it mean that you liked me when we were in school?" Eli asked Sean.

"I didn't know what liking someone is, so I just admired you from afar. I wanted to be close to you. For that, I get close to your friend but it ended up really bad. She was obsessing over me. I thought she knew I liked you, so when I dumped her she threatened me that she will spread fake rumors about me. And after we broke up she did what she said. She told everyone that I forced her, and abused her. My friendship with Ren went bad after that."

"I never knew any of it, why didn't you explained yourself, we would've stayed friends," I said as I was shocked knowing the truth, I trusted him because his eyes were saying the same thing. His expressions were genuine.

"She said she will hurt Eli if I ever told the truth to anyone. She was a psycho. I couldn't risk it. She threatened me many times that she'll hurt herself, I thought she was just bluffing but she actually did hurt herself. She was mentally ill. I was scared of her so I just let it be." Sean confessed. It was pitiful of him for being suffered from this.
