"I'll take it as a compliment." "Okay now I should go or I'll be late. I'll call you. And don't forget your promise." She said hugging me. After breakfast, John and I packed our bags. Called a taxi and moved into the hotel. John had some meetings to attend online so while he was doing that, I took a long bath. And orders some room service. It was lunchtime when he got free. We had our lunch and got ready to go shopping. I wanted to buy something for Ren. I wanted to make sure everything is ready once we have his custody. John booked the room for a month. It shouldn't take any longer for the process to be done. Once we have Ren with us, I want everything to be perfect for him. Rompers, bottles, toys, everything we need here to make him comfortable I'll buy it. We have to spend here about three weeks after we have Ren in our family. We will need a lot of stuff for that. Also, I wanted to spend some time with John. I want to spend this week with just him and me together. Like we used to be when we started dating when we married. He has been really sad since that accident. He was so focused on looking after me and sympathizing with me that he couldn't even get a chance to cry for Micheal. I know his heart bleeds for him. But he has kept him together for my sake. We went to a mall to stroll around. And see what we could buy. It had a store for customized goods. We got ourselves sketched together and framed it. I would keep it in our bedroom. Then we bought icecreams, I got a triple chocolate flavor while John gets cookies and cream. It was really good. I would eat it all day. Next, we went to a kids' store. We bought some rompers, jumpsuits, milk bottles, and also a crib. The things we've bought were much enough to carry around so we decided to call it a day. We fetched a taxi and went back to the hotel. We changed our clothes and went to the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel to have dinner. When we reached there, the place was grandly decorated. It looked like some big party was going on. I asked the manager what is going on, he told us that it was there hotel's twenty-fifth-anniversary celebration. They sent an invitation to all the guests in the hotel. I think we weren't in the room when that happened. He invited us to the party. The party was grand. Flowers, lights, music, wine it had everything. And many rich people were also insight. We settled on a table. There were many people in that hall. But my attention was on a lady on the stage. She looked familiar to me. It felt like I knew her. She wasn't Japanese. She looked American. I wasn't too sure. Maybe she was a celebrity, I surely have seen her somewhere. I thought about approaching her when she was getting off of the stage. I was almost near her when I knocked down by someone. It was some lady. She quickly apologized giving me a hand to help me up. She was continuously apologizing but all my attention was on her eyes. That eyes had a similar shine. The shine I've seen in someone's eyes. The color was familiar, so was the look. The similar piercing gaze which keeps all your attention. Soon as she looked in my eyes she froze. As if she was seeing something in them, like finding something. Her gaze became still. It had a weird power to keep me hooked in them. I couldn't look away. She was like a statue for a few seconds so was I, before she walked away and disappeared. She vanished like air. I tried looking around for her but couldn't. I was confused. I went back to John. He was near the bar. I sat beside him. I couldn't bring myself to tell him what I just felt. I wasn't too sure myself. It was all a mystery for me. So, I just kept it inside.
