WELCOME HOME The plans were all set for the day. But Ms. Yamazaki informed us yesterday, that today an official will come to meet us. He is to ensure that the couple who is going to adopt, are capable of bearing the responsibility of a child. It is a standard procedure to ensure the Child's future. She called for the address of where we were staying. So we canceled all our plans for today to meet him. At around noon the receptionist called to ask us about the guest wanting to meet us. He came into our room. He introduced himself as Mr. Akira Katsuhiro. He was the person-in-charge to look after the orphanage and to ensure the kids are in a healthy environment. He inspects the new foster homes for the kids before the adoption is approved. He talked to us about our work. John answered all of his questions. Then he asked about the purpose of our visit and why do we want to adopt a child from a foreign country. The answer was easy but telling it to someone was the hardest. They might not understand the pain we felt. That time was horrible. It still is. Containing all the courage of the world we told him about the accident we've been through. The trauma we suffered. "We were not planning for adoption before we met Ren. But after meeting him everything changed. We want to heal. But the only thing that could help us to heal now is Ren. We want to pass on the love that we had for Micheal and give it to someone. Ren has a kind of gravity. We both felt that attraction for him. It's really a hard thing to explain. But we can feel it." "Okay, I think you are ready for the adoption. I'll push the process forward. How long is your trip?" "It was for two weeks originally but we extended it for four. Ms. Yamazaki said that the process will take that much time." John answered. "I'll have the paperwork ready. It usually takes three days. You can take Ren with you after that." "Thank you Mr. Katsuhiro", John said. "Pleasure", he shook hands with us both before taking off. He didn't take much time. He went back at around 1 pm. We still have time to do what we planned yesterday. I looked upon the internet about some places we can visit in Osaka. Some places popped up in the suggestions. One of them was an aquarium. Its name was Osaka Kaiyukan aquarium. So I booked two tickets for us. We reached inside. The place was mesmerizing. I have never been to such aquariums before. The experience was something else. It was as if I am inside the sea. The fishes were so close, they felt real. We spend two hours in there looking at all those different fishes, dolphins, sharks, octopuses, seagulls. I didn't even know the names of many of them. But some of them were enormous. You can only find them in see. We also went to a pool where dolphin lives. It was more like a transparent glass' tank but dolphins play in that. They dive out of the water to play with balls. It was delightful to watch them play. I took a chance to touch them too. We stayed there until their closing time, it was five in the evening when we left. We clicked lots of pictures there. We decided to go visit the street food market there. It was famous for many dishes. We enjoyed so many of them. We ate till our heart's content before heading back to the hotel. The next three days went with a bust. We visited the Universal studio one day, the next day we visited a science museum and an art museum the last day. We also visited the food market on the first and the last day to eat the stuff we already tasted before, but we still visited there to eat it again. It was worth it. On the morning of the first day, we got a call for the orphanage. Ms. Yamazaki wanted us to come to the orphanage. She Said the paperwork is done and we need to come there so we can take Ren with us. We immediately reached there on her call.
