I came inside the hospital and went to check on Maria to see how she's doing. Her reports were normal. But there are still some reports to come. She will soon be discharged from the hospital. I went to her room. She was asleep when I was there. There wasn't anyone in her room. She was holding a book in her hand. Maybe she was reading it and fell asleep. I took the book from her hands and put that on the table near the bed. I touched her hand to see if I will feel anything. But soon as I touched her hand I saw something bright yellow forming on her hand. I quickly pulled my hand away. Soon as I pulled my hand the yellow thing disappeared. I was confused about what just happened. I somehow convinced myself to do it again. I again hold her hand, this time I didn't pull away. I saw a butterfly tattoo engraving on the skin of her hand. It was the same bright yellow. It enlightens the whole room. I couldn't understand what just happen. I pulled my hand away and walked out of the room. * * I was shocked and confused as I walked out of Maria's room. 'What was that tattoo about? Why it was a butterfly fly? All this, does it have a meaning behind it. I can be all just for nothing, there has to be a reason. That butterfly must mean something. I have to find out. I don't want to ignore all this any longer. I have been avoiding it for long enough but it still didn't leave me. Ignoring it wasn't as an option for me I guess.' All these things were resonating in my mind. The man whom I save, who died does he have something similar in his body? I wanted to know. His body was still in the morgue. So I decided to look for it. There won't be anyone there at this time, so it will be easier to go there unnoticed. I went to the tenth floor and inside the morgue. The body of that man wasn't too hard to find. It was in a freezer. His body was badly disfigured from jumping off of a building. He was almost unrecognizable. I touched his hand too to see it something like earlier will happen with him too. When I hold his hand I again saw something engraving on his hand. It wasn't bright yellow this time. I was more like a blue light. It was dull as compared to Maria's. Soon an impression of a star formed in his hand. What's happening was confusing. I couldn't think of a proper reason. But still, there is no reason for my powers. So I think I have to live confused. If I have my parents with me, the one who gave birth to me, maybe it all would make more of a sense than now. * I came out of the elevator on the ground floor where the trauma center is. "Ms. Johnson do we have any patients now. Actually, I have to get something from my room. It won't take too long. If there is nothing urgent, I'll be right back." I asked her. I wanted to get that book. Maybe it will give me the answers I was looking for. "Yeah you can go Mr. Salvador, but don't take too long." She assured me. So I hurriedly came to my room to look for that book. I put it on my desk the last time to read it two days ago. I quickly grabbed it and came back to the hospital. I wanted to be in the hospital in case of any emergencies. I went to the locker room. There I can read the book peacefully. And if there is an emergency, the staff will inform me. I was in my locker room. Sitting on a bench, trying to find where there is an explanation about anything related to what happened today. I was going through the pages I haven't gone through yet. There was a chapter in the book about the aftermath of using your powers on a human.
