"We can meet up today. I'll treat you guys. Bring Emma too. I haven't talked to her for a long time." Me, Marc and Emma used to hang out together a lot. But then the two of them started dating. So we stopped going out too often. I didn't want to be the third wheel.

After I finished my coffee I went back to the trauma center and started checking up the patients. No one seemed in a serious condition so I decided to check up on Maria. I knew she might be sleeping right now, so she won't see me checking up on her

I went to the reception to ask if Maria had any attendee with her to stay in her room. When I was in the reception asking the receptionist, the girl from earlier came to the reception too.

"Hello, I'm Catherine West. Actually, I wanted to get the keys to my father's office. He wanted some files from his office." She asked the receptionist.

"Sure Ms. West, Mr. West called just now to inform us that you'll be coming for the files. I'll bring the key to you." The receptionist said and went inside a room to get the keys. While she was away, I was trying to be oblivious to her presence.

"Hey, peachy cooler. Remember me? We met a while ago at the party. You ordered a peachy cooler. I thought what is the point of being in a party without drinking alcohol. But I guess you are a doctor here, so that was the reason for that drink." She said looking at me. I looked back at her, while she was talking. Our eyes met. She had a pair of ocean blue eyes. She was wearing the same dress as earlier. She looked pretty in that dress.

"Hii I am doctor Ren Salvador. I am an ER specialist. So you were the one with that weird comment. Nice to meet you." I said while we shook hands.

"I'm Catherine West. And Yeah, it was me with that weird comment. Sorry about that I was just joking. Hope you don't mind." She said.

"No, it's fine." I was saying with the receptionist came back with a spare key card to the director's office.

"Can you help me. I don't really remember the way. And I'm bad with the directions." She asked, I thought we will part our ways from here. It's a good thing she asked.

"Yeah sure. I was going there anyway." I uttered.

We went inside the elevator. The director's office is on the twelfth floor. The elevator dinged informing us that we are on the twelfth floor. The doors open and I started walking to the director's office. Catherine was following me.

"So Catherine......" I was about to say when she said,

"Oh just call me Cat".

"Sure, so Cat are you a doctor too?" I asked her.

"No, I'm studying business at New York University. My dad wants me to be like him, so." She said but I can sense a hint of disappointment and sadness when she said that. I did not want to buy her anymore so I just changed the topic.

"Here we are. Take the file you want." I said.

She took two folders from the room. I didn't see what they were about not I was interested. I carried it for her on our way back. When we were on the exit she thanked me for my help.

"Thank you so much for your help. I'll give it to dad now. He wanted it urgently. It was nice meeting you hope to meet you again doctor Ren. You looked handsome at the party by the way." She said and started walking away.

"Nice meeting you too Cat. Listen to your heart and do what you like. Your dad will understand." I said I wanted to control the words because they might hurt her. But I told her anyway.

When she heard my words she ran back to me and hugged me tightly before again walking away. Her hug felt like goodbye. But in our short time together I was sure I'm gonna see her again. This way we parted our ways for today. She went into her car before she drove away.
