Chapter 42When the car came to a halt, the perpetual tide of humans outside the station scattered. A few people took photos, some stood in shock, and everyone gawked at the car rocking on its hood. Hiroshi raced to the spot, out of breath, Sakaguchi a few steps behind. They knelt down and looked inside at the two bodies swaying upside down from their seat belts. Hiroshi noticed gasoline leaking from the car. “Everyone back!” he shouted. Sakaguchi spread his arms and started pushing back the crowd encircling the scene. “Clear everyone out now,” he shouted, and people, unused to anything but jams of people in the square, started to back out, looking stunned.
