He was in his office, ready to leave for Mystic Moon pack. He didn't really want to make an alliance with a pack in the human world he didn't trust them. A human wolf pack is the reason his mate is dead. His luna, the mother of his children.

He doesn't want to admit it, but he needs this alliance. The previous law and accounting firm he used in the human world to keep up appearances ran off with 2 million dollars and set fire to two of his restaurants. Tried to make it look like an insurance scam.

He did laugh about it. He doesn't need the money he's very wealthy. His pack does well. They have 5 restaurants and cafes in Europe. A cooking school in London, Paris and Rome.

Same across the US and in the wolfen realm, too. The wolfen realm knew the truth, but his human profile took a hit. A wealthy man trying to pull a financial scam. The wolfen council recommended Lutton pack.

They have a good professional standing in the human world. The fact that they are wolfen helps that they will be trustworthy. If not, the pack will have to deal with the wolfen council. Terry walked in, his beta.

"Are you ready to go?" he asked.

Yes, are the warriors all set?

"Yes, the 70 seater coach outside with the 50 warriors so they is space to come back with more members and room for luggage. It doesn't take long to get there. We will be in the pack for at least 12 hours after the moon sets so we can send another coach through if need be,"

Okay great thank. He just needs to get his bag. "Are you alright?" Yes.

Terry was still staring at him. What? "I'll ask again. Are you alright?" Terry asked staring hard at him.

Yes, it's just the first time leaving the pack, you know. "I do, but without sounding like a broken record, but Sara would want you to move on and enjoy your life. She may haunt you if you shag someone else, but that's a problem for you," he said.

That's the last thing on his mind, but thanks. Terry laughed. "You're welcome. That's what I'm here for,"

Sutton walked in. "Dad, can I really not go?" His oldest daughter, that was 18 next month. Sutton, he's told you next time, this time he needs to go alone. Plus, you won't scent your mate until the next full moon anyway. So you young lady will be staying here.

"Fine, don't come back with another mate. I do not want a step mom," Sutton yelled and walked out. He ran a hand over her face. Terry was laughing. What?

"What if you do?" Terry asked, laughed.

What if he does what? "Find another mate?"

Terry, Sara hasn't been gone a year yet. He doesn't want a mate. "Well, you may not have a choice the goddess will do as she sees fit." Terry said

He was about to walk out when Sutton returned. "Have a good trip. I apologise for storming out Dad it wasnt very mature of me. I'm just ready for a change of scenery," she said.

He gets it, and thank you for the apology. You are very mature for your age, Sutton. We all have our moments. He'll see you in two days. He kissed her forehead.

"I'll sit with grandfather and learn some more," She said.

That's a good idea. The old man has a lot of wisdom to share. "It that sarcasm I hear in your voice, son," Father appeared from the lift. He walked over and wrapped his arm around Sutton. Sutton smiled.

Maybe a little. Jack's father laughed. "Well, I am very old. I thought I could go through council training with her what to expect. She'll start in September." He said.

That she does thank you, father. I've been meaning to do that. The business has been his focus at the moment. "I dont mind. I get to spend time with my oldest granddaughter before she leaves for a year, or maybe 5," Father said.

Terry cleared his throat. "Sorry, boss, but if we don't leave soon, it's going to be dark when we get they," he said. Yes, he'll see you all in 2 days. Sutton, look after your sister and brother, please.

"I will." She said.

He got into his car, and he was driving with his unit. Terry, Valentina, or Val as she likes to call herself his gamma and his delta Hawkin.

"Are you nervous, boss?" Val asked.

Why would he be nervous? What did you see? Val gamma blooded and also has the gift of sight.

"No, haven't foreseen anything, just a feeling." Good or bad? "Neither just something is going to happen doesn't feel good or bad, just a change of some sort."

"Criptic as always, Val," Hawkin said.

She glared at her mate. Valentina and Hawkin have been mates since Val was 18 years old, Hawkin, not so much. They have 8 children, 2 sets of twins. Still have love and cheekiness for each other. The fact that she can't charm her mate pisses her off. Now you are two, be professionals.

"I'm always professional, I can't speak from him. " she said.

"I'll spank you," Hawkin said.

"Yeah, right back, atcha delta. I outrank you, " Val said.

"I out muscle you," Hawkin shot back.

"I'm faster than you, old man." Val responded.

"I might be older than you, but I look young to you. I have that lovely, strong black skin. " Hawkin said.

Val was about to whack him on the head in the car.

"Enough you two. You've been mated 50 years, and you're both still at it, enough." Terry said.

Both just stared at him and stopped. Both were just staring out the window. He saw through the mirror Hawkin kissed Val cheek, and she smiled melted into him. They kissed. That's as far as that goes. No fighting or making up in his car.

Both laughed and conversations changed. We were driving to the portal it was about an hour's drive, and it would be portal use through onto a private road that the wolfen council owned in the human world.

It was in winnipeg Canada. We would continue to drive onto North dakota where the pack was. It was going to be a long 5 hours drive, but it's the closest one. The next closest portal brings us out in Iowa. It would be twice the driving time.

They arrived at the just after 7 pm. It was a nice-looking pack very similar to his. It was hidden very well in the trees. Alpha Lutton was waiting on the steps with his unit.

"Alpha Jack. It's lovely to meet you. This is my unit and my eldest son Julian. He's taking over soon, so he will be present at the alliance meetings." He said.

Yes, you too and shaked his hand. He introduced his unit. Then he heard a young woman shouting and being chased by an older man. Then he tackled her to the ground. He pulled her up. She was a blonde woman with blue eyes and very much wolfless.

Her father apologised, and Alpha Lutton found it funny and didn't faze him at all clear use to it. Very unprofessional and childish. A new visiting Alpha, and they act like this.

She apologised and introduced herself. You're wolfless. He smelled her. She was clearly offended and called him rude and smart but meant it as an insult. He was mindlinked by Terry.

"Well done," he said sarcastically.

He just stared at him. Her father looked like he was going to rip his head off. She kissed her father cheek and insulted him again by calling him rude, small-minded, and an arshole. He stepped forward to approach her. Her father stepped in front to stop him them Jack felt a hand on him.

"Back off." Terry said.

"Alpha Lutton, I don't recommend an alliance with this pack. Clearly, it isn't our kind of pack. My daughter is never wrong. " Quentin said.

He then walked away. "Alpha Jack, unfortunately, the alliance isn't going to happen. You're welcome to go into the dining hall and get some food, then please leave," Alpha Lutton said.

Then Alpha Lutton walked away and left his heir standing in front of him.

"s**t, boss, what have you done," Hawkin said.

"Alpha Jack, may I ask what's your problem with wolfless?" Julian asked.

He doesn't have a problem with wolfless he's just never met one before. He's 98 years old, and he's never met one. It surprises him, and he didn't mean to offend. Especially being the war general daughter. He's heard stories about the hilton family. He never expected a family to be wolfless.

He exhaled that he was rude it wasn't intentional. "I see. Their aren't all wolfless. Just Quinn only, but she's still a badass. I grew up with her. Trust me, she's far from weak or incapable, " he said.

He will apologise.

"Quentin will come round he's very protective of her, and you insulted her he's pissed he'll return. I will go speak with my father. Please, you and your people go eat. The kitchen is open for hot and cold food. " Julian said.
