Chapter 44 It Wasn’t Intentional

1593 Words
After his conversation with FallenAngel ended, Ivan took off his helmet and exited Rivalry. He stood up from his chair, stretched, and lit a cigarette.    “Why are the lights all off?” Ivan questioned out loud but nobody replied. He just shook his head and walked toward the bathroom. It was hot outside, plus he worked up a sweat playing the game. He felt clammy all over and needed to take a shower. The bathroom door was open slightly so he walked in then reached to turn on the shower. Instead of touching the water tap, Ivan’s hand rubbed something smooth.    The softness against his hand felt like satin, he continued to move his hand up higher. He tightened his grip and started rubbing the plump item in his palm. Suddenly he could smell jasmine and in the dim light he saw a slim figure, then quickly realized what he was touching. His cigarette fell to the ground and he pulled his hand away.    “Ahhhhh, Ivan, you are a p*****t! Get out of here!” Claire’s screams echoed in the bathroom as she pushed and kicked Ivan out of the room, then slammed the door.    He stood on the other side of the door and explained, “Ahem, Claire, listen to me. I didn’t know you were there. I didn’t mean to walk in.”   “p*****t! p*****t!” Claire responded with another scream.   My reputation has been ruined, but that felt so amazing… It was worthwhile swapping a beating for a quick touch, haha.   Ivan relived the beautiful scene over in his head and began to feel hot.    The bathroom door flew open and Claire ran past Ivan blushing. She had soap suds on her graceful neck but wore nothing except her bathrobe. It was apparent to Ivan that he scared her so much that she ran to her room in a hurry without even finishing her shower.    When Ivan looked at Claire’s slender legs and cleavage as she ran by, the heat in the heart was overwhelming. Even as Claire glared at him with an irritated look, Ivan thought that it was charming.    Claire rushed out of her room with her big teddy bear and hit Ivan on the head with it. As she continued to hit him over the head she yelled, “Bully! Hooligan! Beast! How dare you peep on me? And touch me?”   Trying not to laugh at Claire’s outburst, Ivan buried his head in his hands and said, “Claire, I was wrong. I admit to it. Please, don’t hit me anymore!”   “Humph, you know you were wrong. Are you going to dare do it again?”   “No, no, I won’t do it ever again.” Ivan put down his hands, raised his head, and assured her.   However, as his hands moved downwards, his left forefinger accidentally got caught on the belt to Claire’s bathrobe. The belt loosened and fell to the ground, leaving Claire’s n***d body completely exposed. Ivan had a clear view of her delicate collarbones, full breasts, tiny waist, long legs, and mysterious private parts. Ivan just stared in shock until he felt blood dripping from his nose.    One drop of blood. Two drops of blood…   “I’m dying!” Ivan roared.   For a few moments, Claire was too busy hitting Ivan with the bear to notice that her robe had come open. When she saw Ivan’s nose bleeding, she wondered if she had hit him too hard and injured him but when she looked down and saw her own n***d body, she nearly passed out.    “Oh, my goodness! No!” Claire hastily picked up her bathrobe, wrapped it around her before dashing to her room, and slamming the door.    Did this cutie deliberately seduce me? She’s a thin girl, but she’s really shapely.   At the sight of Claire’s embarrassment, Ivan whipped out a tissue to wipe off his nose blood calmly.   ** After a while, Leo walked in the door humming a merry tune and carrying take out. The power was out which explained why Ivan couldn’t see Claire. Leo had gone to buy food since they were unable to cook, both he and Ivan were thankful that they wouldn’t have to eat Claire’s eggs.    As they ate, Leo could sense something wasn’t right. Claire’s cheeks were pink and Ivan was eating silently, Leo snapped, “Ivan, did you do something to Claire?”   “Ivan, did you do any bad thing to Claire?”   “No.” Both Claire and Ivan answered at once, afraid of being found out.   “Oh?” Leo was suspicious, but he didn’t pursue the matter. …   After dinner, Ivan called his mother. She explained that his father was still stable so he went back to his game.    He opened his Friends List first. When he saw that FallenAngel was offline, he sighed. Left-handed love had sent him a message so Ivan assumed that the Guild Token had sold already but it was just to contact him when he was online.     “Hi mate, what’s up?”   “What took you so long? I’ve been waiting for almost an hour for you,” Left-handed love complained.   “Oh, the power was out in my house and caused a delay,” Ivan replied. The wonderful moment with Claire replayed in his mind.   “I’m at Teleportation Array in the center of town. Let’s go to Loda together.”   “Okay!” Ivan agreed without even asking why they were going to Loda.   As soon as he arrived at Leaf Town’s Teleportation Array, Left-handed love met him in Loda. Ivan felt that Loda was more prosperous than when he was there days before. He saw a small number of players on the street, who were arguably among some of the most excellent players in Rivalry.    The fact that they had reached the city well-known throughout Blessing Continent within such a short time demonstrated that they must have leveled up fast. Ivan swept his eyes over them, they were mostly on Level 13 or 14. Loda was Ivan’s lucky city, so he was happy to witness its prosperity.   “Let’s go to the auction house. 21:00 is when the game has the largest volume of online players. We need to hurry up and post the Guild Token before that,” Left-handed love said over his shoulder. He was leading the way.   “You haven’t posted it?” Ivan asked in puzzlement.   “I made an inquiry just now. Common players that sell things in the auction house are taxed heavily, but nobility can get a discount. That is why I am taking you there,” Left-handed love explained laughing.   “Here. Go to post it.” When speaking, Left-handed love gave the Guild Token back to Ivan.   “It’s too much trouble. Why not sell it in the Good-deal Exchange?” Ivan took the Guild Token and advised.   Left-handed love smiled, “I’ve also made an inquiry there. I prefer the auction house to the Good-deal Exchange. Firstly, because this is the first Guild Token, it’s not clear how much it is worth. If we post it on the Good-deal Exchange, we don’t how to price it. If it is underpriced, we will lose money; if it is overpriced, I am worried that nobody will buy and we will have wasted our time. Besides, what if the second Guild Token is dropped soon? The one we have will depreciate quickly.”   “Secondly, after we post it in the auction house, players from all servers can participate in the auction. This will absolutely lead to intense competition between major guilds. They will yield to each other and scramble for the Guild Token and we can sell it at a premium. I’ve already paid out of my own pocket for an advertisement in the auction house, which says ‘Guild Token is up for auction’. I believed the major guilds have prepared enough money to snap it up.”   “I almost forgot to tell you about the last point. The Good-deal Exchange takes 5% tax of the item’s selling price. Selling items is different from selling gold coins there. However, since you’re a baron, the tax rate for you is only 0.5%. It’s 3% for me. Think about it. We’ll save a lot of money.”   Ivan quite approved of Left-handedLove’s analysis. He had to hand it to his friend’s sharp business plan. “Haha, you’ve considered everything, mate. By the way, didn’t you want the Guild Token? You don’t want it now?” said Ivan.   “No. In the beginning, I intended to establish a guild to oppose the Sovereign because they always had the advantage of more people to pick on me, but later I thought it over and abandoned the idea. It is too tiring. Moreover, I don’t want to become that high-profile person who established the first guild in Rivalry,” Left-handed love answered with a bitter smile.   “Alright, I have another question. The Guild Token will be auctioned in Loda, but those major guilds are not in Loda. Will they be able to participate remotely?” asked Ivan.   “You don’t have to worry about this. As long as we post it in the auction house, the system will automatically broadcast the auction event when the time has come. Players everywhere can click it to participate. It’s very convenient.” Ivan nodded. Since it was a game, it was normal for it to differ from the real world, such a setting did provide efficient player service.   They walked into the large auction house in East Loda. To their surprise, the one who greeted them was the owner of the auction house. It was probably because the game had been live for a short time and there weren’t many guests. Ivan explained why they were there and handed the Guild Token to the owner.    The owner looked at the Baron’s Necklace on Ivan’s neck and generously gave him a World Announcement for free.   World Announcement: The 1st Guild Token in Rivalry is to go under the hammer in Loda’s auction house at 21:00 (Game Time).   This brief announcement sent a whirlwind through the whole Rivalry world.
