Chapter 23“You scared the crap out of me, Tai!” Riley exclaimed and then lowered her voice to a whisper when the students in the cafeteria line gave her an odd look. “I thought you got seriously hurt! I don't even know what happened. One minute you're with me at Ethan's gig and then, Natalie barges into the café like a lunatic and tells me that you're at the hospital! Unconscious!”
Taisia remained quiet.
She remembered that night, especially the searing pain that threatened to rip her insides when Evelína summoned her powers. Apparently, she was also in a coma for two days, but she didn't remember that.
