Chapter 3

Carl's POV "Oh oooohhh!" I almost cursed myself for entering the pack house at the wrong time. "I-I'm sorry" I muttered, making those both laugh. Aunt Lana and Uncle Zenon Wood. For some strange reason, I don't like Lana. I rarely talk to her but she always tries to talk to me in a sweet voice. Not that she is bad but I just don't seem to like her. "Oh! What a surprise" Uncle Zenon laughed while running to me. I love this man. He doesn't even belong to the pack, but because of Lana he is here. And he is the best beta this pack ever had. "Yo bro!" I heard that familiar voice and just wanted to dance! Aiden James Malloy! Son of Nicholas Malloy and the next Alpha to this pack. I love him more than anyone of our generation! "When did you come!" I screamed jumping onto him tackling him and we were both on the floor with a bunch of laughs. He has been at the Crescent Moon pack training his best with black magic so he can be the perfect Alpha this pack needs at the moment. Yes, that is the very same pack Betty is from. The love of this pack. Speaking of who... "Oh look who's here" she laughed and hugged me spreading instant warmth. She is the fellow Fire Lunar Wolf along with my Grandma Mia. I wonder if that's the Lunar Wolf power or whatever but they look flawless like they are just 30 year olds now! "How are you?" she asked and I just smiled and nodded just hugging her again. For some reason, the love I receive here is not at all to be compared to the love I receive in my own pack. It's like I am the prince and the next King so they have to respect and treat me like one. But here, I am a family member that needs love to smile. That makes a difference. "Alright! Betty and I are going on a date. Do not steal my woman please" Aaron said, making everyone laugh. The Alpha of the pack is now not here. He lost his mate not too long ago, and in memories of her.. he is living in human territory. Since his mate was a human, her healing power was so low that her own health reasons killed her. Alpha Nicholas Malloy was everything Aiden wanted to be. And now I wonder if that's still the same. Aiden is a year younger to me but I feel like he leans more towards being my friend. The only thing is, he rarely stays in contact because of the Crescent pack training rules. "Just gonna see what's happening in the pack. Wanna join?" Aiden asked and I instantly nodded. He and I walked talking and catching up with what we've missed about each other lately. Everyone I have known complains about how hard the Crescent pack training is but Aiden is the ace in every test over there. The King family isn't allowed for the training because strength runs through King's blood and there is no need for excessive training. We went to the pack training grounds where Luke is already training himself. Luke is Lana and Uncle Zenon's only child who is next in line for Beta's position. In two years he will become one. All I ever get are weird af vibes from him. Probably he takes after his mom! Aiden went in for a battle with Luke while I sat on one of the chairs looking at everything around. That's when another vision of the Moon Goddess hit me. She is smiling. Her long black hair was flowing because of the wind. She was running in the Blood Moon pack forest while I was chasing her with the biggest smile I ever had. "Carl! Man what's wrong? Carlll" Aiden yelled, bringing me out of it. That was when I looked at myself. I was drenched in sweat. "What happened? Your eyes rolled back dangerously and you were covered in sweat" Aiden said with eyes full of worry. "Just.. another vision" I said, panting hard. Luke passed me a bottle of water and I gulped them down real quick. The paintings came to a halt but not my heartbeat. What was that? "So that's what you look like when you're having Moon Goddess's vision? Woah!" Aiden laughed as he sat beside me. I smiled in return, not really choosing to reply. This is strange. She isn't Layla because Layla doesn't have Long Black hair or neither does she care about running. And my smile, that is what is still shocking! I wore the widest smile I could ever imagine. "I am also planning to gain the title from my dad very soon," Aiden said. "Wait! You aren't 18" I said. "Neither my dad when he became Alpha to this pack" he whispered with a blank face. Well that is reasonable. Moreover he doesn't have to fight for the title because rightfully it's his. "So. When?" I asked him. "In a week or so. Because my training ended at Crescent pack. Guess what? I'm the Ace" he said with a pride filled smirk. "Yoooo bro!" I said with a smirk engulfing him in a bro hug. Luke rolled his eyes and went back to the training grounds. What is that guy's problem in the first place? "This guy has always been this way?" Aiden asked as soon as Luke left. Since Aiden was in the Crescent pack most of the time, he doesn't really know how people from his own pack can be. It's quite a challenge for him to be a good Alpha to his own pack. "Yeah. I wonder how you're gonna cope up with your Beta" I smirked. We both looked at each other for a minute and burst out into laughter. Aiden is the only guy I can laugh with. And I am glad that he is done with training and maybe, I can now actually talk to someone. "Hey Luke! The Prince says you're amazing!" Aiden yelled. "Yeah!! Aiden wants you to become Beta very very soon" I yelled back. Luke rolled his eyes again and left the place making Aiden and I laugh a little more.
