Chapter 6

Zion was changing the bandages on Kace when Kaydence walked in with Xander close behind her. Zion stopped once he saw him.
"Xander your alright," Zion said.
Xander ran over to him and hugged him. Kaydence stood in the doorway for a little bit before walking over to them. Xander broke the hug and Zion went back to bandaging Kace. Flynn and Xavier walked into the room which caused Xander to hide behind Zion.
"Xander they want to thank you for helping the prince," Zion said as he finished.
"You were asleep for hours. So once we found out you were awake we came to give you our thanks," Flynn said.
"Thanks for helping Kace," Xavier said.
"Your welcome," Xander whispered.
"Um didn't quite hear what you said there," Flynn said.
"He said you're welcome," Zion repeated for Xander.
Xavier smiled cause of how shy Xander was being.
"Can we treat your wound now Xavier," Flynn asked.
"Nah I'm fine," Xavier said then sat in a chair near them.
"Your arm has been bleeding this whole time," Flynn said.
"Listen to your brother Xavier," Kaydence said.
Xander tapped Zion on the shoulder which made Zion turn towards him.
"Yea," Zion said.
Xander pointed at the bandages and Zion knew what he wanted to do. He gave him the bandages and then stepped aside. Xander cautiously walked over to Xander and Flynn. Flynn saw he had bandages and moved aside.
"You wanna help him," Flynn asked.
Xander nodded. Flynn smiled and looked at Xavier.
"What do you want now," Xavier asked.
"He wants to bandage you up," Flynn answered.
Xavier looked over at Xander then Zion walked over toward him.
"Do you need me to tell him," Zion asked?
"Yes please," Xander whispered.
"Tell me what," Xavier asked.
"You've lost a lot of blood. Xander is worried you'll pass out soon. He wants to know if he can help you to bandage it," Zion answered.
"Sure," Xavier said.
Xavier took off his jacket with the help of Flynn. Xander walked over and sat the bandages down beside him. Zion gave him a small towel while Kaydence walked over with a bowl of warm water. Xander put the small towel in the water and then started to whip the blood off Xavier's arm. Once the wound was clean he began to bandage it.
"Thanks," Xavier said.
"Your welcome," Xander whispered.
"What did he say," Flynn asked.
"Not sure," Xavier said.
"He said you're welcome," Zion said from across the room.
"How did you hear him your over here with me and Kace," Kaydence asked.
"All demons have different abilities. Xander for example is a healer. There's a demon who has a love ability. Another can mind control using her charm and there's another who can summon different types of creatures. But all demons have different abilities," Zion said.
"She didn't summon the ones that attacked us," Xander whispered.
"Uh what was that," Flynn asked.
"He said she isn't the one who summoned these creatures that are attacking us," Zion said.
"Is your ability like superhuman hearing or something," Kaydence asked.
"Kinda," Zion replied.
Kace woke up but everything was blurry. He could hear people's voices in the room with him. He waited for his eyes to adjust and become less blurry. Zion was sitting on the bed next to him. Kace moved his hand and gently touched Zion's hand. He looked over at Kace and then stood up from the bed.
"Kace is awake," Zion informed the others.
Flynn Kaydenc and Xavier came over to the bed.
"You've been asleep for two days. We're glad you're alright now," Flynn said.
"Zion never left your side well except when he would check on Xander," Kaydence said.
"But afterward he'd go right back to you," Flynn said.
"Let's go so he can talk with Zion," Xavier said.
"Yea we need to go tell Jax and Bex that he's awake," Kaydence said.
Xander looked over at Zion who nodded back at him. Once they left Zion helped Kace into a sitting position and gave him a glass of water. Kace drank the water and then sat the glass down.
"You were injured pretty bad and have been unconscious for a couple of days," Zion finally said.
"Have you been here the entire time as they say," Kace asked.
"I have. Xander was unconscious so every now and then I'd go check on him but then I'd come back. Jax and Bex kept your father out as well," Zion answered.
"My father? Why did he come here," Kace asked.
"I'm not sure but I did hear him yelling. He sounded really bad," Zion said.
"Was anybody else hurt," Kace asked.
"Xavier was. He had a scratch on his arm that kept bleeding. Xander treated him so now he's alright," Zion answered.
Kace sat there for a moment then looked over at Zion. Zion noticed and looked away. Kace laughed at his reaction. Just then Jax and Bex walked into the room.
"Young master we are glad you are awake now," Jax said.
"The creatures have all disappeared and now the king wants to speak with you," Bex said.
"What does my father want," Kace asked.
"He wants to talk about the mission we were sent on as well as the attack at the gates," Bex answered.
Kace sighed and then looked at Jax and Bex.
"TellFatherr I will speak with him tomorrow or the day after," Kace finally said.
"Of course young prince," Jax said.
After Jax and Bex left Zion went into the bathroom. After a few minutes, he came back out and looked over at Kace.
"You should be healed enough to take a bath," Zion said.
"Alright," Kace said then moved the covers off him.
Zion walked over to him to help him up if he needed it. Kace got up with his help and went into the bathroom. After Kace had finished Zion helped him back to the bed. Just then Kaydence ran into the room.
"Brother, Father is coming up here. He said he isn't gonna wait til tomorrow. He wants to talk to you now," Kaydence said out of breath.
"Are you able to help Zion sneak out," Kace asked.
Kaydence looked out into the hallway and then back at Kace.
"I can't Father is too close. He'll see us," Kaydence answered.
Kace looked over at Zion and then back at Kaydence.
"I'll be fine," Zion said.
"You know my father hates demons. He'll kill you," Kace said.
"He won't know," Zion said.
"Kace look at him. He's human now," Kaydence said amazed.
Kace looked over at Zion and was surprised. Zion had hidden his horns, fangs, markings as well as his eyes and eyes. Kaydence went over to him.
"That's so cool," Kaydence said.
"What's cool," a man's voice said from the doorway.
"Nothing Father," Kaydence answered quickly then stood by Zion.
"Who's this boy," the king asked.
"He's a friend of mine," Kace answered.
"Why is he in your room then," the king asked.
"I just told you he's a friend of mine. Now what is it that you need to talk about father? Since you couldn't wait til tomorrow," Kace said getting annoyed.
"Your mission did you succeed," the king asked.
"Yes we did no thanks to the men you sent with us," Kace said.
"Those men were sent to assist you," the noble king said.
"Well they were useless," Kace said placing his hand over his wound.
Zion and Kaydence saw this and then became worried. Kaydence tapped Zion's arm which made him look over at her.
"Im gonna try to get my father to leave so you can help my brother," Kaydence whispered.
Zion nodded then stepped towards Kace cautiously. The king looked over at Zion.
"Father can we please let brother rest he's still hurt," Kaydence said.
"Hmmm, that's another thing. How did you get hurt," the king asked.
"Your guards refused to open the gate for us. We had to fight off the creatures to stay alive," Kace answered.
"Father I wanna show you something you something. Please come see it," Kaydence said.
"Alright let's go and you can show me," the king said.
Kaydence grabbed the king's hand and led him away. After they left Zion quickly went over to Kace.
"Are you hurting again," Zion asked.
"I am little," Kace answered.
Zion helped him to lie down then he looked at where the wound is.
"It's bleeding again," Zion said.
Zion went and got a towel as well as a warm bowl of water then came back. He removed the old bandages and began to clean up the blood. Once he had cleaned up the blood and the bleeding had completely stopped he grabbed some bandages and wrapped it up. Once done he covered Kace back up and sat down.
"You need to rest," Zion said.
"I will Don't worry," Kace said.
