My Little Secret

*Narrator* To understand Eliza's life, we'll have to look at how her life was from the moment she was born. 16 years ago, her parents, James and Charlotte Conrad were rushing to the hospital leaving their 1 year old son behind with their best friends, Harold and Amy Montgomery because they were going to be blessed with their second child, a daughter named Eliza Autumn Conrad. James had found out a month earlier that his mother was fighting cancer so to honour her, he suggested Eliza's middle name to be after his mother, Autumn. He believed it to be fate as his daughter was born in Autumn/fall specifically, November 4th. While Harold and Amy awaited the news of their best friend who was like a sister to them and their niece, they were occupied taking care of Ryan and their own son, Alec who was turning 1 the next day. It was 9 pm and the boys were drifting to sleep meanwhile, Amy and Harold called up James to check on how Charlotte was doing. "How is she? Has my new niece decided to come and meet us yet?" Amy said excitedly. "Well she's taking her sweet time that's for sure." James said with a slight chuckle. "In other words, we'll be here for a while. How are the boys? Are they asleep yet?" "Yes, they were excited to see each other thinking they will get to play with their soft toys but we managed to get them to bed." Harry (Harold) said. "I realised if my dear daughter does not get here by the next few hours, her birthday will be on the same day as Alec-" James said as he was cut off by Charlotte's scream, warning another contraction is beginning. "Oh no! We'll check in later, go get cursed by Charlotte now." Amy said laughing. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By 1 AM, Eliza was born and soon she met the rest of her family the next morning including her grandmother who was currently in the hospital for chemotherapy. From that day on, she grew up showered with love by her parents, grandparents and aunts and uncles. She spent her days playing with her brother Ryan and his best friend Alec. It was only the three of them until Ellie Madison who was the daughter of her parents and Alec's parent's best friend from the very high school Eliza attends. Michelle and George Madison met in college though and soon moved away because of a job opportunity. Unfortunately, they had to say their goodbyes to James, Harold, Charlotte and Amy when college came to an end. When Eliza was seven years old, she became best friends with Ellie and the two became inseparable. Even Ryan and Alec got bored as they were left alone and couldn't annoy Eliza how they used to because she had Ellie backing her up. And that was how the popular group of East Manhattan Academy formed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the Madison's reunited with their friends, the 3 families became closer than before along with their children. They would have Sunday brunches and the mothers would meet up every Saturday for a girl's night while James, Harry and George would go out for a few beers. Every Saturday they would flash back into their youth while their children were altogether having a sleepover being watched over by two nannies until they were old enough to be left alone. Together, the children attended elementary school where they hid their "life of luxury" because it was a public school and they did not want the attention until Eliza and Ellie were in the 4th grade and the three families bought the school before it closed down and that is how Ellie's mother became the board of that school. That is also how Ryan stood up to bullies for Ellie as the kids became aware of Ellie being the daughter of Michelle Madison. Skipping to Middle school which was joined to the elementary school they all attended previously, in the 8th grade, Eliza confessed to having a crush on Alec to her best friend Ellie. Ellie had tried to encourage Eliza to tell Alec but she refused. Soon, she was over her crush and Ellie forgot about it. When they left middle school and entered East Manhattan Academy, Ellie and Eliza smoothly went through puberty, that's right they had their glow up! This caused them to be noticed by juniors and even seniors while they were only freshmen. And this brings us to the year Eliza's life changed! It was the last 2 weeks before summer ended, before she became a Sophomore. She already felt like she was 16 as she was quite mature...for a 16 year old. But everyone makes mistakes especially teens and this blabbing will make more sense, don't worry.
